I hear ya, DD. Went to the doctor's for a case of broncitis and got on the scale for the first time in months. Talk about an eye opener! I promptly rejoined Weight Watchers that very day. Sibce Thursday I've lost a liitle over half a pound. That leaves 19.3 to go!

Happy New Year to all who enter here today (as well to all the lurkers!). I'll raise a glass to all of you at midnight!

I got weighed yesterday for the first time in like a year. On the positive side - I was 6 lbs lighter than I thought, bad news I still have to lose 40-45 lbs to get back to where I was 2.5 years ago. so i signed on for 1 year with the trainer for 2 - 3 x a week sessions. I would obviously like to spend that money on something else, but 2010 was the teeth commitment, 2011 the apartment commitment, so 2012 will be the body commitment. Maybe in like 2 years I can actually take a vacation or something. It's all good.

And Tink, good for you for making all of the changes you have been working so hard on. You deserve a lot of credit for taking things head on and conquering them! It all sounds like money very well spent!

But, for the record, tonight I have guest coming over, and I will finally open the Godiva chocolate to share and be a little bit wicked. I may taste test some of the Scotch I bought in advance of my trip!

Sitting at the SJO airport. They make you arrive 3 hours early. *sigh* Thankfully there's free WiFi. (or Wee Fee like they call it here, which makes me giggle every time)

Now time to get my act together - Tink you've inspired me and I'm figuring a deal with the personal trainer this week. There has been much merriment the last 10 days, which also means much food and booze.

Tink you've inspired me well, that's a first! lol. :) Good for you.

I went to my first session yesterday. Not bad. It was hard but I did every set that he asked and so far today light soreness, but I have a feeling it will go from light to heavy soreness by the afternoon lol. 107 more sessions to go. I have to go shopping afterwork for some healthy food alternatives.

23 days on the other milestone front.

And back at work.

Our server crashed at work today. Hope that's not an omen for what's to come... My first client presentation of the year is tomorrow morning (we hit the ground running this year!). Thankfully, they suggested we just do a videoconference so I don't have to fly there. SO thankfully!

Morning peeps! Happy HUMP day! Today is a meeting for "restructuring" One of my staff resigned when I was on vacation. His last day is a week from today. He's always been a pain in my a$$, so I won't rellay miss his loud, obnoxious mouth around here. The sickening part is he's going to work for our client which means I'll have to speak (argue) with him on a daily basis. God grant me the serenity....

I'm so fricking sick -- horrible chest cold -- too much kissing of people over the holidays. And, I sprained my wrist badly and it's in a wrist guard and hurting like hell. So far, 55 and 2012 are fabulous!

boobs - we had a woman leave "mutually" (aka fired with money) right before holidays, a temp not asked to come back (who I work with regularly so I have to train yet another person, ugh), and our longest employee put in his resignation. That and they are starting to split some employees with our sister company to save on payroll. Hopefully they skip my name on that list. Never a dull moment!!

BTW Tonky thinks it's acceptable to leave toys in daddy's shoes. I was a little concerned this morning when my foot pressed against something in my shoe. I wasn't sure what was gonna fall out when I turned it over.
