mashed potatoes, gravy....the best
However, when I finally get home tonight I'm baking up a tray of french fries and dunking them one by one into some honey mustard dip.
Where are we going, and why am I in this handbasket?

Posted: 11/3/04 at 5:03pmi have a problem with food. I feel guilty when i eat... so when I want to so called eat something "bad" it's a Low-Fat giant cookie from the health food store... bad issue. I'm working on it.

Meat Loaf with TOMATO Gravy; Mashed Potatoes with WHITE Gravy; a little FRIED corn, topped off by Peach Cobbler for Dessert!

(I do miss Philly Cheese Steaks from back home but NOTHING is more "comforting" than stuffing yourself silly with all that UNHEALTHY slop!)

Posted: 11/3/04 at 6:58pmActual comfort food ... I'm not sure, but probably something bad for you. But what I think of when I hear "comfort food" is chicken and dumplings. Too bad no one I know makes them, and there aren't any restaurants that I know of that do around here. (if you know of one in NYC PLEASE let me know!)

I don't know any in NYC, but they serve GREAT Chicken 'n Dumplings at all the GOOD EATS restaurants right here in Dallas.
If you'd hop a plane right now, you'd make it in time for a late dinner what with the time change and all. . . :)
