You will love ordinary people. It is a great story. I'm reading a million little pieces regarless to what Oprah says that book has changed my life. It is fascinating and a great story.

I'm up to Volume 8 of Sandman. I also just finished The Prestige, and I'm absolutely thrilled that Christopher Nolan is the one filming it. It's going to turn out great.
For school, I'm currently reading Conflict After the Cold War: Arguments on Causes of War and Peace.
Spellbinding stuff. Really.

Anna's Book by Barbara Vine

I'm finishing up Swann's Way, and will probably read something short and sweet (some Dashiell Hammett or some Patricia Highsmith) before moving on to In The Shadow Of Young Girls In Flower.
Isn't it Asta's Book, not Anna's Book? I've read all of Barbara Vine's books. She's tremendous.

Still trying to slog through Great Expectations by Friday.
Still reading Angels & Demons. I am seriously impressed with this book because I thought I wasn't going to like it. In fact, everytime I get a break from my job I read it and while I am working, I keep thinking about it. Can't wait to read Da Vinci Code next.
I wish I could read books as fast as you plum. Jeez. It usually takes me about a week to read a book. About 3 days if I don't have to go to work.

Hopefully you won't be disappointed, spider, but for me it was my second Dan Brown book that was the killer. I think you'll understand why.
Plum--It might be because I am about to fall out of work from boredom, but can you explain what you just put? haha.

Okay, I read The Da Vinci Code first and thought it was good enough for a fluff read. Then I read Angels And Demons and realized that, actually, Dan Brown is a hack. I don't want to say why because it'll ruin things for you.
Aw, don't say that. I am enjoying this book so much and I don't want the end to suck because then I will not be happy. I have been searching in vain for a book to hold my interest and I found it with this book. Pppplllleeeeaaassseee, don't let it suck.
I have to concur with Plum. It happened for me in the same way. Da Vinci first, then Angels.
The trouble is now that I have been to Rome I want to re-read Angels, well, at least parts of it, to better visualize the settings.
So, should I save myself the heartache and just put this book away and start something else?
Right now I'm obsessed with the works of Philip Pullman, just finished his "His Dark Materials" trilogy and now am reading hid "Sally Lockhart" trilogy, on the last book "The Tiger in the Well" both series are very interesting and full of political and religious themes, which interest me greatly. I love his writing style, so he comes highly recommended, check him out!

Spider, plenty of people like both, and heaven knows we have different taste. :) That's why I was being all vague in my first post- if you want to read it, read it anyway.
ETA- Oooh, His Dark Materials. *swoon*

By all means, read it spider. He may be a hack, but he can still spin an entertaining yarn.

Ahhh!!!! I am still going to read it though. I've waited this long.
Shameless by Paul Burston.
Up next is Son of a Witch.
Yes, read them both. One of the most important people in my life who is also one of the most intelligent, really enjoyed Angels and Demons, likely because it was simply escapist. (I was actually embarrassed because he asked me to buy it for him while we were in Rome, and I was trying to play the academic, buying Michelangelo and the Pope's Ceiling!)
I'm currently reading We wish to inform you that tomorrow we will be killed with our families: Stories from Rawanda. Great, depressing book.
