Nice to see Uma Thurman get recognized for her "Smash" stint, as well as choreography (which I hope it wins) and for music.

'Parks and Recreation' did not deserve to be snubbed. It should have gotten a nomination instead of '30 Rock'. It still really bothers me that Nick Offerman was snubbed as well.

The noms for Girls are a joke. That show is bottom of the barrel stuff.
And the lack of nominations for Community (outside of one writing nod) is just ridiculous.
Lastly, DOES EVERY DAMN PERSON ON MODERN FAMILY BUT THE KIDS REALLY NEED A NOMINATION?? That show was really great for about 30 episodes but I just don't see it as the comedic juggernaut the Emmy's keep trying to convince me it is.
What I find interesting is that with cable tv there are more shows on the air than ever, yet looking at the Emmy nominations it would appear there are only a handful of shows running.
I find it odd that they considered American Horror Story and Missing as mini-series.
Hooray for Benedict Cumberbatch!
But still, no nomination for Nick Offerman? I think he, and Parks and Recreation overall, deserve more love. I was really hoping for a guest starring nomination for Paul Rudd. Oh well.
I honestly think that Community is the best show on television, and while I'm glad that it got a writing nomination, it truly does deserve more.
I'm just thrilled that Downton Abbey got all of the noms that it deserved.
Some of us love Girls and when Jon Cryer still gets nominated no show or actor should ever be deemed bottom of the barrel. Ever. I will say though I would not have nominated the Pilot, The Return, the finale, and The Bushwick were the best episodes IMO, though pilots nominated, especially for new shows is very typical of the Emmys.
Happy that Max Greenfield got nominated as Schmidt.
The lack of Justified is shocking.
There is so much banality in Community snubs at this point though "Remedial Chaos Theory" getting a writing nod is a huge victory for the show and a feather in Dan Harmon's cap... or rather middle finger to Sony.
I actually thought it was a down season for Parks & Rec, likewise with 30 Rock but it mostly getting rewarded for its stronger episodes like the Avery sub-plot and the live show with guest casting.
I figured John Slattery was a shoe-in being a previous nominee and having some fun story arcs like the LSD trip. I think Jared Harris should be nominated and it is a crowded field but his snub is surprising. Though Mad Men's nominations are again an embarrassment of riches though hopefully Christina Hendricks finally wins since I am certain nobody has won for acting on the show.
AHS submitted itself as a miniseries. Smart move. It guaranteed nominations though Julianne Moore was still way scarier than Jessica Lange in Game Change.

Jared Harris is (rightly) nominated.
Lots of great work was recognized on this list - there will be the inevitable cries about this or that show being snubbed, but I'm very happy about many of these.
If anyone hasn't seen Homeland, check it out when it comes out on DVD next month - one of the most thrilling, suspenseful, well-acted TV shows I've ever seen!
I think they deserve every bit of recognition they get. The entire cast is outstanding, and the show is miles better than anything else on television right now. The season finale this year (Baby on Board) and the Disneyland episode were genius.
Congratulations to Josh Bergasse and Rob Berman!

Very glad that Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman got some recognition -- they're one of the funniest comic duos in recent memory.
And if Christina Hendricks doesn't win for her work in MAD MEN there is even less justice than there usually is with these things.
Will Best Song be between "It's Not Just for Gays Anymore" and "Let Me Be Your Star"?
How does Jon Cryer keep getting nominated?!?! I don't know how 30 Rock or Girls made the cut over Parks and Recreation. And poor Connie Britton can't catch a break. She should have won for the final season of Friday Night Lights and now she's up against Julianne Moore in Game Change. And the movie/miniseries category is going to be tough. Game Change, American Horror Story and Hatfields & McCoys were all excellent.
Seriously hope Amy Poehler wins. If not, then I’d be okay with Melissa McCarthy or Julia Louise Dreyfuss. And really happy to see Mayim Bialik up there.
Jimmy Kimmel was hilarious this morning.
Every year I say they should have an 'ensemble' acting category. Modern Family would be a perfect ensemble to recognize.
I'm thrilled for Downton Abbey!
Really happy for Max Greenfield and Mayim Bialik - adore both of them in their respective roles. Greenfield has turned Schmidt into something unexpected - in a weird way, almost how Fonzi became totally a different character with Henry Winkler's take.
"The Big Bang Theory" over "Louie"?
That's beyond absurd.

I'm happily surpried about Dot Marie Jones and Mayim Bialik. I'm hooping this year will be Ed O'Neill's turn.
So happy for all of the noms for American Horror Story.
HBO on top again with 81 noms.
How many nominations does Betty White have this year...I love her, but enough is enough!
Agree... some of the nominations are just so uninspired.
I mean...as Reality Host????? And the brilliant RuPaul is left aside once again.
