I presume you know the basics- pulling the string tighter gets higher pitches, loosening it gets lower pitches. There's probably a site somewhere that'll act as a pitch pipe and give you tones to tune by.
Bleh. I've been nauseous for the past two days. And now I'm waiting for my friend to come over for what shall be an interesting discussion.
I just literally slept the day away.
This morning after class I took a three hour nap, and then woke up for lunch and showered. I went back to bed at 2 and just woke up. I never nap that much so I really hope I'm not getting sick again.
I'm SO ready for this play to be over with. It's caused way too much unecessary stress.

Someone (I don't really know of) PMed me twice with the subjects "boobs" and "more boobs"- they also sent a links in the PMs but I'm not clicking on it. I PMed them back but I have yet to get a response.
Plum, I did know that. I was trying to remember this way I learned to tune. Thanks though.
People are getting on my very last nerve.

Yesterday my puppy at my Dad's house got hold of chocolate and we didn't know it. Today, he died because it poisoned him. He was a great dog and always made me really happy when I was sad.

sweetdisaster -- I'm jealous
I'm really hungry.
Fabrizio2- I'm so sorry.
Apparently my school's musical is going to be the same day as my interview for college. What the hell?
This has been the most stressful week ever.
A car alarm goes off every 5 minutes.
ARGH!
i feel like i have accomplished NOTHING today. and i have a theatre test tomorrow, i need to study
tagiunagi- I'd be jealous of me too but now I just feel guilty for wasting a day.
I've finally convinced my roommates to go see a show when we go to the city next weekend, but they don't want to see any of the "gay shows" I've suggested. I guess that means we're not seeing anything I want and seeing Tarzan instead.

It'll be okay. Three of us survived Tarzan.
Yeah, I'm sure it'll be fine, too.
I'm sure the fact that he'll be swinging around half naked has nothing to do with the reason that this is the only show they'd all agree on. I guess it's a step up from nothing, though!

Yes. That would be the perk. Just pretend he's not flaming.
For the first time in my two and a half years in college, I approached a professor to contest something he said and talk about something that wasn't required.
Of course, I did it by e-mail, which was kind of cowardly, but it was cool. He was receptive and wants to talk further about it in class, and I'm nervous.
I'm sorry Fabrizio. He looks totally adorable in that picture.
Today I left for class at 2pm. A major street on campus was shut down- police were blocking it off and 3 firetrucks were down at the other end by the main bus stop on campus. The entire area was roped off with yellow police line tape. As I continued on my way to class, I passed the student center and 2 ambulances were sitting outside- completely unrelated to the other incident. I got to class, sat through my lecture and with 20 minutes left, the power in the building flickered, then went out and the generator and emergency lights clicked on. He ended class early. I walked down to the student center so I could get something before work...and the fire alarm had gone off, so the building was emptied and everyone was waiting across the street. I walk back to my building, passed the street that was still shut down and by this time, a news crew had showed up. By this time, the police tape was cutting off an entire block radius and blocking half the buildings on the quad. I get into my building and discover that the electricity was out in my building as well. I dropped my stuff off and left to catch the bus for work. Because the main bus stop and the other street were shut down, they were re-routing the campus buses completely AROUND the campus instead of through it. The bus I'm on gets up to the student center...and gets stuck behind the 2 firetrucks that have now arrived to take care of the alarm there. We sat there for 10 minutes, only drive the long way around campus to get back to the opposite side of the shutdown area where we needed to go.
This all happened between 2-4pm. The half the campus is in chaos and none of the dozens of emergency workers roaming about were telling anyone what was going on. I come back from work and discover an official campus email sent out at 5:30pm, saying that the street was shut down because construction workers ruptured a natural gas line. They also mention- at 5:30- that all afternoon classes in the blocked-off buildings were cancelled. I'm sure that was helpful to the hundreds of people that tried to show up for class in the 3 hours previous. There was no mention of the poweroutages or the fire alarm at the student center. They might possibly be related, but why would they bother telling us EVERYTHING that concerns us instead of the bare minimum.
To top it all off, now that they've finally gotten the gas leak sealed-off, they decide that 3:30am is the best time to start using really loud, annoying, beeping construction trucks to clean up the resulting mess. I mean, it's just a college campus. Who cares about the students?
Um...so, it's raining at the moment, and we could get thunderstorms today. Skittles...wtf is going on here?
It's raining quite a bit here.
I overslept this morning, so I had to rush out of the house without a shower... I haaaaate being rushed. Also, in my hurry, I forgot my cell phone... which makes me feel totally lost (sad, I know, but it's true).
Bleh.
I'm cold.
Mandi, we should move. Clearly the sky is falling and the entire city is going to be sucked into a hellhole at any minute. Now if only the rain would stop, I'd consider leaving my building to get away. Or, you know, get lunch.
I was up like three hours later than I planned to be last night.
I don't know if I have to work today. I think I don't. It would be nice to know.
I'm waiting on two phone calls, and it's driving me nuts. One is for test results from my doctor, and one is about a job I interviewed for. I'm just pacing my apartment, going NUTS!
To top it off, I have a series of wonderful DVDs from Netflix that could be distracting me... if my DVD player were working. It's not, and it's making me mad.
Hug me!
