Honestly, I'm not surprised. After the first season, it went downhill and every season got worse and worse. They lost what made the first season so fun. Oh well.
You ARE the weakest link......goodbye
The first season was amazing but they really had no idea where they were going after a handful of episodes of the second season.
I stopped watching after the first installment of the third season. First season was beyond amazing though. I would like to see how they ended the show though....
I felt compelled to watch it, hoping it would get back to the quality of that amazing first season ..... and of course, it never did. I wanted to quit watching, but always tuned in anyway.
I feel like a burden has been lifted ...... freedom!
Good riddance. RIP. The show bit it after the first season. Hayden and Zach are well on their way to D-list obscurity. Enjoy the ride kids.
Umm - Zachary Quinto has Star Trek - he's not going anywhere.
The show went downhill fast after the first season. I stuck with it another two years - hoping - and it never got better.
Did they at LEAST kill off Mohinder?

Quinto's breakout stardom is thoroughly deserved, but man, this show needed to be cancelled ages ago.
I'll never forget the thrill of the first season. The rest wasn't remotely worth it. NBC finally let this one go.
It's about damn time. I gave up on this show midway through the second season. When I hear about all the crazy-ass storylines they've been doing this year, I'm glad I did.

I felt the show started to down with the Season One Finale... that was such a HUGE letdown
then the series really became about Sylar
they focused too much on the time travel to the point it just got annoying... Hiro became a fan favorite to one of the most annoying characters
the writers had no clue what they were doing... lazy writing and lazy everything
The show just got waaay too confusing and I just feel so bad for poor Ali Larter who I'm sure doesn't even know what the hell she's playing anymore.

Good. Now my mom won't get irrationally angry for my not watching it with her anymore.

This is why I never get involved in hour-long shows anymore. If you lived through Twin Peaks, you realize there's nothing anybody can do that's particularly satisfying. Now they start off with a bang a limp to a finish in just a couple of seasons. This is why I never gave a crap about Lost, Heroes, Ugly Betty, or Glee. Well, plus Glee sucks eggs.

There was an article in The Times that came out around the same time as the poor ratings for the beginning of the second season of Heroes. It talked about how NBC was trying to find hit shows for their network due to the fact that they had been having one flop after another. I believe the writer's opinion was that they took a risk with Heroes and lost big time.

Also count me as one of the ones who gave up the show.
Me too...
After the start of the second season.
:P
I thought the network decided they were gonna look in to a wrap up episode (2 hour one) thats what the major sites are saying
I gave up in season 2 as well.
I actually don't watch TV anymore.
I agree with East. The finale of the first season was SUCH a let down.

I quit either in season 2 or 3, mid season. Too hard to keep up with, irregular TV schedule, wouldn't they go on break for like 2-3 months? I would forget what had happened. And I hated Hiro. Most annoying character since JarJar Binks.

Was Heroes the show with the promo - "Save the cheerleader - save the world."? If so, good riddance!
Yes, it was.

The stupid thing was that eventually Sylar caught up with Claire and took her powers in Season 3 i think... that kinda pissed me off... what was the point of saving her then?!?
and I hated how Season 2 tried with their new catchphrase... what's in the box? for those of you who actually watched season 2 that was when peter had amnesia (i HATE when shows do this) and he was presented with a box that had clues to his past and he refused to open it! aaarggh!!
even though this show pissed me off... i own all the seasons on DVD! haha... it had its moments that i liked so on occasion i'll watch them
