I hadn't seen this movie for about 10 years (even though I'm a HUGE Muppet fan) until three days ago when I decided to get it on DVD. I forgot how amazing this movie was! It is extremely under-rated and has many fantastic songs written and performed by David Bowie. The only problem for me is Jennifer Connoley's (sp?) horrible acting in this. Who else loves this movie? I've heard there are some Manga/Anime graphic novels that are sequels called "Return to the Labyrinth". How are they?

Am I the only person freaked out by this movie? I watched it a ton of times when I was a kid, but sat down and watched it again a couple of years ago and it completely freaked me out! There's something wrong about David Bowie running around stealing babies...

Well, I could see why you are creeped out by this (The Fireys actually creep me out in it) but just remember, THEY'RE MUPPETS!

And if there was nothing wrong with Michale Jackson ******g little boys, then there should be nothing wrong with David Bowie stealing kids cause he wants a new "goblin". re: Labyrinth

I love this movie. It's one of my favorites. I have the DVD and the soundtrack. When I first re-watched it a few months ago (it had been 5 years or so I think since I last watched it), all I could think was "were David Bowie's tights always that tight?"

As for the manga, I haven't read it but have heard mixed reviews. More bad than good.

i loved this movie! although Jennifer Connelly's anal scene in Requiem For A Dream has kind of smudged some of my enjoyment of this film.

Jennifer Connelly's in retrospect terrible acting was the only thing that smudged my most recent viewings of the movie.

But, seriously, kind of my favorite movie ever. Well, it was when I was 6, and I think I had my absolute best taste before the age of 10.

I'd bet the movie line I quote most, in casual conversation, is David Bowie's delivery of "Well? Laugh" from this movie.

I love this movie and just watched it again on DVD last month. My favorite character has always been the little dog with attitude, Sir Ditimus.

Speaking of Jim Henson movies, anybody remember THE DARK CRYSTAL. Talk about freaky...

Connelly's unbelievable growth as an actress is inspiration for actors everywhere. Big fan of this movie, very underrated.

My friend first showed me this movie two years ago, saying that her babysitter used to bring it to her house all the time. I thought her babysitter must have been crazy. But about three days after watching it, I started realizing this movie is really quite enjoyable...and now I'm a proud owner of it.

I've owned this movie on VHS for years. I first saw it in school, they showed it to us in 4th or 5th grade and it scared the bejesus out of me. Now I really like it, good campy fun.

I smell another Broadway musical! Starring Alan Cumming perhaps? This has "smash hit" written all over it!

I personally love this movie. My friend and I always sing "Dance magic dance." (He's a huge Bowie fan). We decided that if they ever did decide to turn it into a stage production he would be the Goblin King and I would be Sarah. Ha. I miss him...

This movie scared me when I was little, but my sister and brother made me watch it over and over again. I haven't seen it in so long!

I liked Dark Crystal and Return to Oz better.

I always thought they should release a "Dark Trilogy" box set of those two and Labyrinth together.

I adored Return To Oz. Maybe it's because I didn't see it until I was an adult, but I really disliked the Dark Crystal. Don't really know why.

I would LOVE a broadway production (And Alan Cumming would be great) but I think it couldn't be done. It's to complicated to make a stage show.

I have yet to see The Dark Crystal (although I really want to because it has a sequel coming out next year aswell as a cartoon series.) or The Witches. I remember renting Return to Oz when I was like...5 and hating it because I was expecting a sequel to the original, but know that I know better, I need to go out and get that as well. re: Labyrinth

I saw it as a child and it scared the living daylights out of me! I don't remember any of the muppet creatuers - all I can recall is lots of lightening, babies crawling on the ceiling and David Bowie being damn frightening in every scene. I was having nightmares for weeks afterwards, thinking that he was going to come and steal my baby brother.

Needless to say, I have watched it since and loved it, but having got the wrong end of the stick so firmly in childhood means that I still can't watch it with the lights down... re: Labyrinth
