She told the then-extant Peronistas who were against her casting in the Evita movie that she didn't know anything about Eva's politics but that she had always been drawn to her because Madonna too had relentless ambition and drive.
Madonna also wanted to play Leni Riefenstahl, another woman who didn't know politics but felt a powerful draw.
In case you didn't see it, Madonna was reading a Q&A from her bathroom, on video. Suddenly, in the background, a mouse was seen running across the room. HAHAHAHA.

Taboo, the video I saw showed a mouse. It was black, rounded, and ran on four legs. Not a piece of paper scurrying across the screen, way way back behind her!
I know we all have mice once in a while, I have them all the time because of my parrot, but for some reason, seeing one in Madonna's bathroom seems funny!
p.s.I saw it on tv. Not the same as the one posted here.
She hasn't exactly been behaving lately in such a way to warrant a break from criticism. Her "shocking", attention seeking behavior just seems like a desperate attempt to keep up with more relevant pop stars. Sure, she'll always have haters, but she just comes off to me as needy and nervous about her relevance in the main stream. When she returns and tries to re-invent herself with each album/era, it never feels genuine to me. She'll always be under the critical magnifying glass no matter what she does. But the Drake kiss, the Hamilton texting, the pretentious twitter attempt to "connect" with her fans, all steer away from the music and make her feel more like a parody of her former self.
It's fascinating to watch someone try to stay relevant, though. She's just trying so damned hard, I find it difficult to find anything she does at this point important or interesting beyond laughing at her follies.
The relevant thing is so annoying. She's always been this way, it's nothing new at all. The Drake thing was silly but hardly a big deal, I'm pretty sure she didn't text during Hamilton for attention and her Instagram is entertaining as hell (good and bad). The simple fact is she is Madonna, she will always do things to raise eyebrows but she's also recorded an incredible album, that's all I really care about now, it seems to be the non Madonna fans that care about the other stuff.
oh and ps, how cute was her video interview, she seemed relaxed and funny, and looked amazing (as she did at the Met Gala as well)
Namo i love u but we get it already....you don't like Madonna
