As much as I disagree with it I understand that they feel the need to defend their children. Admitting their children did wrong means admitting that they failed as parents (unless they were in on it from the start of course). But I find this comment makes light of all that has happened - all that has been lost. You don't plan on blowing anything up? It was really necessary to say that?
