"People have their opinions and that doesn't mean that their opinions are wrong or right. I just take it with a grain of salt because opinions are like as*holes, everyone has one".

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be enbered with your old nonsense. ~ Emerson
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.
Oh my gosh. I need to take this opportunity first of all to say I love you all so much and being a part of the BWW community has made my year. You all are so colorful and wonderful. Even when I hate on you or you hate on me, it all comes from a place of love. XXOO
What would be your perfect day? A day off from work with no responsibility and plenty of money to do whatever I want.
Chocolate or Vanilla? In ice cream, vanilla with bean specks. However, if it is a candle or a scent- I HATE Vanilla. I love chocolate in any from. I like both for different reasons.
Coke or Pepsi? Pepsi, if I have to choose. But I avoid high fructose corn syrup, so I'll take a Vitamin Water if I have choice.
Do you prefer chocolate- or gummy-based candies, and what is your favorite variety of each? I prefer chocolate, and like Reeses Cups, Brownies and Flake Bars by Cadbury. As far as gummy, I'm a slave to Sour Patch Kids. Im addicted.
Favorite mixed drink? Mojito
Second-favorite character in your third-favorite musical? Engineer from Miss Saigon-he's got a good heart,he just wants to make buck. He follows behind Kim-who I love.
Which character from a play (musical or straight) do you most identify with? Why? I'd have to say right now at this present moment, Little Edie. I think something about her heartbreak and introspection touches me so deeply, even though I am unsure why. I think she represents all that is lost, as well as all that is possible. She breaks my heart and brings me immense joy. I'll think more about that. Plus, my mother and I are close and I could end up the gay guy who lives with his old mother and some cats. :)
What's your favorite: Disney Princess? I like the female villians, not the princesses. They are too sweet. I like Wicked Queen from Snow White, Malificent from Sleeping Beauty, and Ursula from Little Mermaid
Flavor of jam/jelly? I dont use jelly. Sorry. Or to quote Sandra Bernhard, I like spermicidal jams and jellies. :)
Book based film? House of Sand and Fog broke my heart.
Eye Color? Hazel

What has given you the most pleasure in the last year?
What's something that we would be surprised to learn about you?
If your house were on fire, what material possessions would you grab on the way out?
If we asked an important person in your life to describe you, what would he or she say? How accurate would it be?
What’s something that you’ve never done, but have always wanted to try?
What’s the last great gift that you gave someone? And, that you were given?

I've been dreadful about this thread recently. My apologizes to all the previous recipients there have been while I was playing nursemaid to Flipper.
On to the questions: Most influential book? What gets you out of bed in the morning? Carnivore or Vegetarian?
"I'm a one-eyed Mormon Democrat from conservative Arizona, and you can't have a higher handicap than that."
~The ever-great and fabulous Morris K. Udall.
What has given you the most pleasure in the last year? The g-rated answer is spending time in NYC twice. NYC really makes me feel so alive and connected unlike any other place on earth. Live theatre makes me feel so happy and at home that it brings me the utmost pleasure to the core of my being.
What's something that we would be surprised to learn about you? I cry at the drop of a hat while in movies and theatre, I'm obsessed with Dolly Parton, I read trashy female celebrity bios for fun, I'm a licensed massage therapist part-time, I like cats,I love time by myself since my jobs require me to take care of others and I usually connect with the disenfrancised.
If your house were on fire, what material possessions would you grab on the way out? Mt book of autographed celebity photos, ym box of Playbills, and Souvenir programs and my newly matted and framed Grey Gardens window card signed by La Ebersole. Everything else can be replaced. I love my memorabilia, I guess you call it. Oh, btw, the frame for the GG poster is awesome. It looks like a weather green wood from the house. The person who framed the poster loved the poster and really put her heart into it.
If we asked an important person in your life to describe you, what would he or she say? How accurate would it be?
If you ask anyone who knows me well they would say I am kind, generous and a good listener and they would be correct.
What’s something that you’ve never done, but have always wanted to try? I'd love to travel internationally. I have never done any (outside of Canada-but to quote Goldie Hawn from Protocol-"that doesn't count, because it's like attached!").
What’s the last great gift that you gave someone? And, that you were given? Last great gift I gave was for cooking classes for a friend who wanted to learn some technique and they were so thrilled. Last great gift I got was a quiet dinner with a friend who is a great conversationalist and we enjoyed dinner, wine, and some delish intimate conversation.

Slaves of New York by Tama Janowitz-made me long for the NYC 80s art scene when I was a teen in Buffalo.
What gets you out of bed in the morning? My starvin, crying kitty.
Carnivore or Vegetarian? I enjoy red meat and white meat in moderation
Favorite cheftestant ever on Top Chef and why? ANDREA BEAMEN (Season 1)-the ONLY Chef ELMINATED TWICE who is obsessed with elimination. Organic chef who rocks my world and I was lucky enough to have a consultation with her. All of you in the Big Apple need to schedule with her and get yourself back on track. She is divine. www.andreabeamen.com. I love her. :)
Fave Project Runway designer? I have to say Nick Verraros, not only is he talented but utterly adorable. I also have a soft spot for Kayne because he is a diva watcher like me.
Fave Project Runway musical moment? I'm not sure what this means, but I love Santino's "Where's Andre?" and I think they turned it into a song or remix.
Fave Queer Eye guy? Carson-sassy, with a good heart. Love him.
Do you have any musical or artistic ability? Where do your talents lie? I used to act in college, and did a lot of community theatre. I am a good dancer on the floor, but I cant follow choreography. I'd still like to act, but no time. I never had the guts to go to NY. I enjoy my current role as a helper/nurturer ( just like Florence Henderson on the Surreal Life.)
What is your best quality as a person? I am honest, genuine, loyal, and compassionate.
Best physical feature? I've got strong legs and some serious junk in the junk. My milkshake does bring all the boys to the yard. Many compliments on the ga-dunk-ga-dunk.
Best concert you've ever been to? Oddly, Stevie Nicks last summer. It was the first time I saw her live and it was like a religious experience. When she sang Stand Back, my head nearly exploded and t felt like an orgasm. That has never happened before or since.
Cyndi Lauper today or Cyndi Lauper '84? Today-she has matured into such a fine artist with so many facets. Like a fine wine. Love her.
Taylor Dayne or Anastacia? That is tough. Taylor is my girl though. Met her several times and is a true friend to the gays. She is divine and still has the pipes. I love Anastacia as well, but since she never caught on in the US she never tours here which makes me sad.

Heheh, well, since I think of you as a dear friend, I wanted to suggest these for celebrity of the day in case you haven't thought of anyone, and here are the reasons...
jordangirl-She is a great theatre supporter.
ljay889-It's about time for him to be celebrity of the day.
luvliza89-He's just fabulous!
neddyfrank2-Although he trashes me on a regular basis, he was the one that asked me the most questions when I was celebrity of the day, so I take the good and forget the bad!
theaterdude87-A cutie that we all want to know more about...

True, he hasn't been on for awhile, but I keep my hopes high, he might return sometime soon.

Congrats to the CotDs for the past few days! (I'm on vacation and don't get to the computer much)
"If this is going to be a Christian nation that doesn't help the poor, either we have to pretend that Jesus was just as selfish as we are, or we've got to acknowledge that He commanded us to love the poor and serve the needy without condition and then admit that we just don't want to do it." -Stephen Colbert
My fave five shows in no particular order-Sunset Boulevard, Grey Gardens, Miss Saigon, Litte Shop of Horrors, A Chorus Line
My least favorite (I don't like the word hate)- CATS, Kiss of the Spider Woman (don't hate me- I only saw it on tour with a generic spider woman, so it did nothing for me, although I love the Chita and Vanessa recordings). I dont think there are 6 I don't care. Since my time in NYc is limited I end up not seeing alot of shows that are poorly reviewed and like most everything I see.
I want to thank Muscle for nominating me (big virtual hug), so I will take his advice and elect ljay for celebrity of the day.
ljay889-It's about time for him to be celebrity of the day.
Ljay889, its all about you baby-enjoy your day. XO
Thanks to everyone for posting for me. Smooches
