Well that was anticlimactic.  The producer Mike Richards is the new host.  There were several others I would have selected including Katie Couric and or Aaron Rodgers. Thoughts?

And down go their ratings...

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Mike Richards was one of my top picks, but I'm not a fan of the Mayim choice even it's just for special episodes - probably Celebrity Jeopardy and such.

A lot of people were. Such a shame he was only given the guest hosting spot due to a fan petition. Not that I see the show getting cancelled anytime soon, but I don't see the ratings staying strong.

Aaron Rodgers and LeVar Burton were the best in my opinion. Mike is a white bread bro who paid off harassment charges against him when he worked for the Price Is Right. They cast Mayim to play down his anti-woman past. Mayim was way too “fan-girl” for me. Aaron and LeVar lent the right level of sophistication to the show.

I won’t be watching.

I actually LOVED Bialik.  I thought Burton was too "children's show".  I did not care for Aaron Rodgers (but can't actually remember why).  I heard he REALLY, very strongly wanted the job.

I'm sure I'll still watch - but time will tell.   It is quite sad that white guy with connections still landed on top in 2021.  Sigh.

After all the build up for Levar (including from himself), he was absolutely terrible.
David Faber was far and above the best.  Robin Roberts and Ken Jennings were also quite good.

I agree with you about LeVar - I felt like he was hosting a children's program.  I didn't like Jennings (suprisingly). And yes, I'd forgotten, Robin Roberts was delightful as well!

I thought Levar was overly dramatic to the point that it was distracting.  Agree that Faber and Jennings were excellent.

Isn't he an EP? Of course he gave himself the job. Same reason Andy Cohen's show keeps getting renewed.

The optics on both these decisions are terrible. From the lawsuits during his The Price Is Right days, and Mayim's questionable stance on vaccines and her victim blaming/shaming of women who've experienced sexual harassment and assault in Hollywood, neither of these choices are going to go unquestioned.

Yes, Aaron REALLY wanted the job. He and I chat in message regularly and when he found out I'm active in my church, he asked me to start a prayer crusade for him to get the job. If he did, he promised to fly me out to LA to spend a weekend with him and his fiancee. I explained that prayer doesn't work that way and turned down his offer.

I do, in fact, pray for him just because a certain level of friendship has developed between us--not because he wants a high profile job.

Waaaaait this is so cool!!!!! I need to hear more about this lol.

But from my view.... could they have done worse? A host with past allegations and is Mayam truly anti Vax and anti BLM? Friend said so, asking for clarification.

If both are true, this is a disaster.

Mayim is vocally pro-Israel and favors the two state solution. While this doesn’t clash with street level BLM, one of the stated demands of the ORGANIZATION Black Lives Matter is the dissolution of all apartheid states, including Israel.

There isn't much more to hear. Aaron has an Instagram account and he does respond to messages. That's how it all started between us.

I also chat with Tom Brady--who actually put his cell phone number on Instagram.

Just saw he submitted a letter of resignation

Hopefully we will not have to go thru another elimination process. Give it to the runner up or anyone else. Just finalize it already

Jeopardy announced they'll start off with guests hosts for now. No timeline for a permanent host to be announced. Such a mess. Don't think this show will ever get cancelled, but their ratings gonna take a tumble this Fall.

Which happens first. New host actually starts or Arab Israeli problem resolved and they live happily ever after. My money is on the latter.

How clueless are these people.? Just cancel it already. Put everyone out of their misery
