Hey artscallion- its that the one you ride (train) in New Hampshire and it gets you on the top of a mountain? I think i saw that one time in NECN? can you give me more info on that? would love to go to NH this summer?

That's the one, Jay. here's a link to the train's website...

There's another train in nearby Conway, NH that doesn't climb a mountain, but does a 5 hour ride through the mountain range.

It's fancier with dining car and bar. We could see bits of the track for it as we wandered around the mountains. Some of it looked exciting like this bit of track that ran along the side of a very tall cliff...
If anyone ever needs help planning a vacation in NH or VT area, PM me. There are tons of great things to do there and, living in RI, we go there pretty often.
Thank you! arts and HAPPY BIRTHDAY tommorow!
I know it bec. same bithday as (my) Chris!

YAY! Caldwell B. Cladwell finally let me upload the photos from his camera, so I will be adding many today (here and on Facebook, Jay!)
Ray, so sorry I'll miss you in NYC (unless you are staying all week. Are you?)
And I MUST do a New England trip soon. I used to spend long stretches of time in Vermont and New Hampshire. It's been way too long. I think its my favorite part of the country.
KEEP THOSE PHOTOS COMING, FOLKS! They're fabulous!

On Saturday, I went into NYC on my own for the very first time! I saw GYPSY and XANADU, met BWW posters, and shopped, and it was the most fabulously good time I've ever had! I know one day in NY doesn't seem like a lot, but on a student budget, it was all I could do to make my last summer before college memorable. I don't regret it at all.
Me, pretending to be Patti. She didn't come out after the matinee, so I had to be content with the theater door photos.
Me and Patti!
Curtis Holbrook, who played Sonny in XANADU that night. He was fab!
BILLY ELLIOT IS IN AMERICA!!!!!
Love your photos, defying!
I will post my photos later.. I still have photos from Provincetown Film Festival 3 weeks ago (where we saw Grey Gardens 3 docu-movie) before I went on my vacations. I just need to finish my WORK this morning! lol!

Nothing totally spectacular from me. Just a few photos from Bryant Park the one morning I was in the city.
All of Maroon 5, but specifically the gorgeous Adam Levine. :)
double post
these are awesome!!! I leave tomorrow for Ireland and I am there for 12 days I am even celebrating my birthday there (July 20th)...We are going to Dublin, Kenmare, Kilarney,Cliffs of Mohr, Galway, Donegal, Derry, Giant's Causeway, and back to Dublin.....I will make sure I take tons of photos and I will post them here...here is one from when I was in London last year

BE2, I adore Vermont and New Hampshire. I really do need to visit again soon. For one thing, my former in-laws live there and we are still very close. In the meantime, California will have to do!
Violet, photos from Ireland will be spectacular, I'm sure!
Thanks, artscallion.
Here are some pictures of Quebec City from my trip last year:
I think this looks more like Japan than Quebec City. The waterfalls near Old Quebec City
[IMG]
It was a big feat for me to cross the bridge over the roaring water falls because I am deftly afraid of heights.
More of the Japan-like structures

This was taken from the bridge. I don't know how I built up the courage to stand still and snap a shot.

A better picture of the waterfall. Eek!
A rainbow was forming at the bottom of the waterfall...

Wonderful pictures!
I need a vacation!!

wow BE2...I am scared of heights too...I don't think I could have crossed that bridge...I def. would have had a panic attack
Everyone is posting such great pictures (and mmmm... Adam Levine...). I just got back from my vacation in the Rockies a few days ago, I'll have to see what I can do about posting some.

BE2-might just visit you one of these days!
