Miss Holly sends her love to Stoli and gives thanks for each day we are given.
I posted this picture on the Adults thread, but thought it was worth repeating.
Stoli got his name due to his love of martini olives (as per the woman I rescued him from). Apparently, with everything going on, he still loves those martini olives:
Meanwhile, his sister Zorra knows something is not right, and is being a bit more attentive, and more assertive. Here she is, striking a "pose" from yesterday.
Thanks everyone for all of your good thoughts and wishes for my four-legged child, and for sharing your beautiful photos. We both appreciate the good thoughts and wishes. We are just waiting now to see if we can get a bit more quality time together before we say goodbye.
And PJ, Stoli sends big gooey kisses to Miss Holly.

Well, my amazing cat Stoli is gone. I came home tonight from work, and found him without the use of his back legs. The vet said that the cancer had most likely metastasized in his spine.
He was in no pain, and I was with him when he left.
He was such a good friend to me.
I am about to raise a glass of Stoli to my friend Stoli.

You will never have reason to feel guilt or regret, YWIW, because you were so wonderful and giving to Stoli. He had a great life...and that was all because of you.

Y, I am so sorry for your loss. You are a very kind and loving person and Stoli reflected your love!!!!!
=(
YWIW, sending good thoughts to you. It really does suck to have to say goodbye to such a loved friend (having done it myself), but I'm glad you made the right choice for Stoli.
Best wishes to you and Zorra. Stoli seemed like an incredible cat.
Aww! I'm sorry. Stoli was very lucky to have you for an owner. And it sounds like he had a very good life.
And just in response to this whole thread in general, I am very glad everyone here loves and takes care of their pets. I just started volunteering at an animal shelter and it makes me so sad and angry how people can be so heartless and dump pets that they don't want anymore at the shelter. The way people do it sometimes is cruel too. Like they'll dump a box outside in awful weather and it will be full of kittens or some other baby animal. Sorry for saying all of this, but it is the truth. Every animal deserves to have a loving home.
"Every animal deserves to have a loving home."
And Stoli couldn't have had one more loving.
How lucky he was to have had you to love him.
And how lucky you are to have had him to love.
Miss Holly and I send you and Zorra hugs. As I'm typing this, she is having a dream and her whole body is twitching, almost violently. I think I'll give her a martini olive tomorrow, in Stoli's memory.
Quilty and Lolita are so sad tonight. But they know what it means to be part of an adoring family, and for a pet, there is no better quality of life. To Stoli's family--you and Zorra--we all send our love.
You were both very lucky to have each other. *hugs*
I'm so very, very sorry to hear this. You've been so kind towards me and Gabriel while he's been battling his own health issues, and we extend that kindness, understanding and sympathy to you.
Now sweet Stoli has crossed that bridge. I know that there are lots of wonderful cats and dogs and bunnys and others on the other side for him to play with. (I know lots of them personally).
You'll never stop missing him - but the pain will lessen with each day until only the good is left. (I promise!)
Thanks.
It is amazing how much I loved that beast. He actually made the decision very easy for me, because there really was no choice.
This all just happened so damn fast. But, in some ways that is better than lingering and he possibly suffering.
Off to pay attention to Zorra. She is a wee bit confused by all of this.
oh Deb, we are all so sad to hear this. Words cannot express how sad we are. I've been through this two years ago and know how hard this is.
Know that you and Stoli were loved by all of us.
I'll be home from San Francisco this afternoon.....if you need to talk.
Also, do do a memorial at Rainbow's Bridge......it is the only thing that kept me sane when I lost Sweetpea.
You're in our thoughts my friend.
S, S and last, but not least, F
I am so very sorry for your loss. Stoli is very lucky to have you care about him so much. He is at peace now; I wish you peace as well.
Give Zorra lots of love...she'll be missing her brother.
Love to you all! xo

I am so sorry for your loss.
So sorry...Stoli was lucky to have been loved by you.
Gus sends you a kiss:
doodle, that is definately an "in your face" cat! Love it!
I am so sorry!
My deepest sympathies!
As others have said, remember the love. And be comforted by the knowledge that Stoli is now at peace.
Sending you love!
This sucks. I'm so sorry, YWiW.
I just now saw the news. YWIW, I'm so sorry.
If Stoli needs a friend, I'm sure my Jack would be happy to be his friend. He died a few years ago from a kidney infection. But, he made really good company if you were sad. He was always concerned if you were crying or anything.
