Ken has just gotten lucky that there is always one design considered worse than his. My faves were Kate, Helen and Braden. Alexandria needs to stop with the poopy pants. She got lucky with them once, but this was the wrong challenge for that design. That was nonsense.

She got lucky as hell that Tim is as nice as he is and called out Heidi for telling her that she liked the design.

Tim looked adorable in his ref uniform. I think that is the first time I've ever seen him out of a suit and tie.
The whole episode was boring and a commercial for Heidi's clothing line.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Yes, he is, well, if you don't count Helen crying all the time. However, I think Helen's riding high on confidence now so she might not cry that much.

Totally boring episode that left me with nothing to add concerning the garments.
Next week, Ken's a goner. He's shot his load creatively and I'm still not wowed by Helen as a designer either. I could tolerate Ken if he had uber talent to back up the in-your-face biatchness but that ain't the case. He got on Nina's bad side by beating up on Sue and she in turn is clearly out to get him. Her critique of his garment after close inspection was scathing. That's why I miss the Nina Kors combo.

Ugh, this week was a mess. Nina and Heidi are both now gunning for Ken over his attitude, I almost felt like Heidi was trying to force an explosion on the runway. I enjoy a little drama, it's part of why reality television exists, but it's beyond ridiculous.
Interesting how all of the past designer blogs made sure to pointedly remind us, for both last week and this week, that the designers don't get a single penny from these types of wins.
Also, of interest, Althea's blog mentions that one designer, whom she won't name, did not design one of the dummy collections at Fashion Week. Fingers crossed it's because Ken melted down and was given a harsh dose of reality.

Yep, it was such an obvious setup for Dom to get a win at last and to off Ken in the process. I grew up in the old south and get back often to visit family and old acquaintances. I'm with Ken in that I can't think of any woman back home who would sport either of those plaid creations. And I think that Nina overlooked the fact that the Dom's original color palette worked extremely well with her model's skin tone. I didn't see hospital scrubs in it anywhere. It was basic as hell but on that particular model the color scheme, fit, and split placement were impeccable. Dom's second piece was a knockout though and very Belky.
Gotta file a minority report with regard to the original top three. I thought Bradon's dress was FUGLY and the plaid pattern and colors weren't very flattering against his model's dark skin tone. For once it looked like the dress was wearing her. I don't see how it was as universal as Nina claims but they're the experts.

What a thoroughly enjoyable episode. It was great watching it this morning already knowing the result. It just made it nice knowing that he finally would be getting what he deserved.
I have to say that I'm very surprised at how much Helen has seemed to grow. She's still not my favorite, but her work has been leaps and bounds beyond what I would have ever expected her to be doing based on the first portion of the season, even just in terms of construction.

Finally, the torture is over. I could only imagine had badly the season would have disintegrated were Sandro still around. Wendy Pepper from S1 was extremely cunning but Ken was flat out mean. Alexander was clearly shaken by the latest Ken drama.
Now perhaps Ken has time to work on his insecurities and then enroll in a good fashion design program. Lord knows I have no interest in seeing either Ken or Sandro on a PR All-Stars anytime soon.
I agree that Helen has been the biggest pleasant surprise of late. Dom is back to recycling prints and patterns although I've pegged her as this season's master strategist. Bradon's model is a HOTTIE and his garment made her look even hotter. Justin is underrated. Alexandria's a bit of a one-note after all. The season's darling Kate is so going to show at Olympic Fashion Week.
Looking forward to next week's episode now that really talented designers get to showcase that talent without a bunch of distracting dramaqueenopics.

that was horrible! Completely disregard what that designer had done during the entire season? Even Tim was disgusted. Terrible.

Who only had one slip up? The first or second elimanated? Very often its based solely on THAT week's design.

And why was Alexandria safe? Her garment looked like something a homeless person would pull out of a dumpster. And she hasn't shown much talent or vision previously. I guess that makes her an easy out next week.
