I think between us getting used to the format and the queens starting to relax and being more themselves, Untucked has seemed to improve dramatically. I don't mind the more serious take on it all.
The only problem I have with the new Untucked is that they try to make you feel for everyone who gets eliminated regardless of how they acted on the show. I mean with Tempest, I cared but after you spent over an hour telling me to not like Jasmine to turn and paint her in a sympathetic light as she's leaving is so stupid...
Untucked feels like a completely different show that the first two, which just were sad cinema verite docudramas.
Now they are a bit more fun and interesting, but couldn't they put the laundry basket somewhere else?
"Carson has combined his passion for helping children with his love for one of Cincinnati's favorite past times - cornhole - to create a unique and exciting event perfect for a corporate outing, entertaining clients or family fun."
I've mourned the loss of the big, pink, fuzzy box. I'm willing to follow them.
'after you spent over an hour telling me to not like Jasmine to turn and paint her in a sympathetic light as she's leaving is so stupid...'
Eh...I chalk that up to no one is every just one thing. Even though I believe she behaved in a way that was nasty, I'm sure that's not all there is to Jasmine. And as much as she pissed me off, I don't think she deserved some of the truly awful, racist sh*t slung at her on social media. The serious tone of the end of each episode let's me empathize, if not always sympathize.
Oh I agree about the aftermath. That's why Twitter & Facebook are such vile nasty things. You know Reddit has this nasty reputation for apparently trashing queens that's really completely false. I mean yeah, there's viciousness of course, but not to the level of dumb Facebook spits out on a regular basis.
I'm completely outraged. How did Pearl and Max WIN? WTF. They weren't funny in the least bit. I would have given it to Kennedy or Ginger. At least they were actually funny. I'm so confused. Pearl had a terrible lip synch, but survived, and now this? It's so blatant that it's for good television and not for the sake of the show. But Kandy Ho did give a pretty damn good lip synch. They were both really good.
This season seems even more manipulated by the producers than seasons past. Wasn't Max outright told NOT to wear gray hair again, and he did, and then also won the challenge?
I think it's bullsh*t to tell Max not to wear gray hair. It's his signature and he's shown an array of looks throughout the competition. Plus, wasn't that a Visage recommend? I love her (ish), but who cares?
I don't know how anyone could think Kandy Ho would be good television in any way, shape or form. Particularly over Mrs. Kasha Davis, who is pretty f*cking funny. But Kasha's lip synch felt similar to Trixie's in that it felt desperately over the top.
I don't know if I would have given the win to Pearl and Max per se, mostly because I don't care for Pearl, but I thought most of the queens delivered fairly well last night. Normally in these challenges there's a serious lack of comedic skill, but almost everyone got a few good laughs in there. And Max is fast becoming my favorite, so I'm happy to see her win again. Has there ever been such a sweet queen on the show before? She has to be a shoo-in for Miss Congeniality, if nothing else.
While I'll concede Kandy had a much better lipsync, I don't understand putting Kasha Davis in the bottom to begin with! Sure she was a little shaky, but she at least made me laugh. In contrast, Violet was only funny in her speech, and had she not won, she would have been totally flat.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.
So I was watching Whatcha Packin and then Kasha Davis pulls out the Chrysler Building dress from The Producers. The bitch has played Roger in The Producers. I need to see his Keep It Gay... like now.
I really hope that everyone behind this show is paying attention to social media and the reaction to how this season is being taken and make the changes necessary to get it back to what it was before for season 8.
Are they really not doing Snatch Game? That sucks- even with this iffy bunch of queens, Snatch Game is always fun and the best way to determine the frontrunners for the season.

Yeah...Kasha's Joan was not on point...but I give her credit for making the 'announcer' of the dress something. And Katya's Bjork was just magnificent.
The past couple winners have been Jinkx, Sharon & Bianca, so I have the feeling all the "comedy/non-glamour" girls are all going to be kicked off so that a "glamour/pageant" Queen will take the crown, to show that you don't just have to be one type of Queen to win the competition.
I'm watching the show occasionally, but there's not much reason to, really. The show is in dire need of a real breakout star like Bianca or Sharon Needles.

I really enjoy Max, maybe because he doesn't seem to be coaxed into the reality TV bitchiness that permeates this season. He accepts criticism gracefully, is aware of his own faults, and is encouraging and supportive of the other girls- he's won two weeks after helping a partner work through issues.
