Brooklyn Bridge (I still haven't figured out why they took it off)
Oh. Also forgot Grapevine and Ned & Stacey
Several that have already been mentioned here and Carnivale. The second season kind of sucked, but I would have liked to see where it was all going.
Anybody remember a very short-lived show called "Whoops!"? It was basically a comedy about a post-apocalyptic world where only seven people were left -- Fred Applegate was the only one I remember in it. I was only a kid when it came out, but I thought it had potential at the time. Really.
I love WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER and RENO 911. Michael Ian Black is one of the funniest people on the planet. I can't tell you how many times I have watched I love the 80's on VH1 and I STILL laugh at everything he says.
haha xxnewgirlxx I thought I was the only one who remembered Relativity, what a great show, wish that would come out on DVD...
Also really mad that they cancelled Reunion, especially since now we'll never know who the murderer was...so not fair.
Relativity was amazing. And it featured a buffed-up Brian Krakow. Amazing.
I think the guy that played Leo (David..something...) is on that new Jennifer Love Hewitt show.
OH and I TOTALLY forgot about the Comeback. That was the greatest and people just didn't get it.

David Conrad? if thats who you mean then yup, hes on Ghost Whisperer.
staticradar, click on the link below if you want to know who the murderer on Reunion was (it's about halfway down the article).

I know that I'm really dating myself here....but I loved "Longstreet" with James Franciscus as the blind private detective. I had such as crush on him.
And when I was a kid I was obsessed with "H.R. Pufnstuf!"
James Franciscus what a hottie!

no problem. you should check out the hallmark channel movie, "A Season for Miracles." he was in it, and it was a good movie even without him.
Count me as another "Buffy" fan - but one who never saw the show until it was over. A friend of mine was a good friend of Joss Whedan's and she did some writing work for him. She tried to get me to watch that show for years and I just wasn't interested. When it was over, she sent me the DVD's so I could see it all - in order, without commercials and I was hooked! I agree though - after the mayer got snaky and knocked down the high school, it started waning. (And I wanted to kill Xander after he jilted Anya). I did like Spike though and I could never get into the Angel series.
Many, MANY years ago (1969 to be exact) there was a brilliant comedy show on called "My World and Welcome to it". It was about a cartoonist who worked for a metropolitan magazine. It was based on James Thurber and the cartoons he drew for the New Yorker magazine. It only lasted one season, simply because it was too sophisticated, too witty, too GOOD, for TV. I still think of it fondly.
I have to vote for:
"Tru Calling"
"Dead Like Me"
Good shows... No more.

tru calling, as i said earlier, will forever be a heartbreaking loss for me. *blames FOX quietly*

Dead Like Me is a fantastic show! One of the most original shows in a while!
And of course, the death of Judge Mills Lane's show was a blow to the American entertainment landscape.

I always liked Partners on Fox with Jon Cryer and Tate Donovan. It didn't last too long.
Sports Night was another favorite. Josh Charles is in town doing a play at the Steppenwolf Theater. I'm going to have to go and catch Dan Rydell in person.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned The Practice yet. I loved seasons 1-5. Season 6 was mediocre. After that, it was all downhill.
i liked "Starved" on FX with Laura Benanti and Jackie Hoffman
i also liked "Facts of Life" until Mrs. Garrett left and Cloris Leachman moved in and Natalie moved out, but I dont think that's the purpose of this board.
"Double Rush" - it had the guy from Murphy Brown (Elden the painter) who just recently died, and a wonderful supporting cast of players, some of who are still on TV in other shows. They were bicycle messengers in NYC, and I enjoyed it while it lasted. Which was about 6 episodes.
"BoomTown" -I agree with whoever mentioned this show. I loved it! I was seriously creeped out with that episode about the BTK type killer that would wait in people's ATTICS for them!!
"Trial By Jury" - Bebe rocked in this show, and I miss it already. I watched all six episodes again when Court TV ran them, and was really hoping they were picking up the series. I don't think so.

ER was always my favorite show from the very first episode. However, in the past two seasons, the show has been in dire need of CPR.
oh oh oh, forgot one from my childhood - i think it was called "Homefront" on ABC about WW2, i really liked it a lot!
My So Called life was the biggest, "WTF?" of my generation. We ALL loved it. It hit home for all of us. Jordan Catalano became a household name. And poof! It was gone.
I was a huge Buffy/Angel fan, but that wasn't why I decided to post here.
Shows I remember loving and being very dissapointed when they disappeared:
*Herman's Head (someone earlier reminded me of this - I still see those actors everywhere and say "Hey, he was the smart one" or "She was the girl in his head.")
*The Charmings -- anyone remember this - early-80s I believe, about Snow White in modern America? My whole family loved it - it didn't last too long though.
*Nightmare Cafe -- again, anyone remember this one? I don't even know if it lasted a season, but it had Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger) and these two dead people who ran a cafe for people on verge of dying - or something like that. Details are hazy, but I remember loving the show.
*And of course my beloved Arrested Development...
I remember The Charmings. The wife was like a snow white character, right? I remember that they were facinated by the mic-ro-WAVE!
