Oh man, don't get me started on how far down the toilet Disney has gone since the glorious 90s
Air Bud played golf?
Yeah, Disney used to be good. I hate sports movies though..they're all the same to me.
I love the knock-offs of the slow clap. The slow angel wave, the slow quack, brilliance.

Catching up -- like everyone else, I don't know what to think of NFL Dad. If it does turn out to be the typical Columbus fare, it'll inevitably get poor reviews, and I don't really feel like reading a bunch of reviews trashing a movie that Adam's in (along with his performance).
However, if the script truly reflects the quote Chloe posted, it could actually be a pretty cool opportunity for Adam.
On a personal, petty note -- Columbus still seems so smarmy to me. Ugh. Also, can't this movie be "MLB Dad" instead to please both my Adam and baseball fangirl?
I pretty much agree with everything Lexi said (and that goes double for the last paragraph )
You just want to see Adam in baseball pants.
Mandi, I'm not sure, but you know there's a script for it floating around Disney somewhere. Has he swam yet? Maybe that's what I'm thinking of, it was something completely absurd though.
Who doesn't want to see Adam in baseball pants?

Hush, skittles! I happen to enjoy the game, although I must admit the cute guys are a nice perk. :) Although, I have to admit my Yankees are getting collectively uglier over the last few years.
"NFL DAD." LOL. It just seems so... not Adam.
This is from months ago, and I guess I saved it.
Note: My terrible skills with pictures.
You're so right, Lexi, though there's one benefit to low expectations. If it's halfway decent it could get better reviews than it would have otherwise. Sorry about the football thing, but I don't think there's much hope for a switch to baseball. Apparently both Columbuus and the writer are big fb fans.
You can find out soooo much on the internet. I came across the writer's blog, in which she wrote the following:
it's been written - it's always darkest before the dawn. and it's been written - we are most afraid [of] our own light, not our own darkness. we all think of light, thus, as good. and we tend to think of darkness, thus, as bad. we tend to view our teachers as light. but i have learned that there are both dark teachers and light teachers, and both are equally important.
growing up the child of an alcoholic has its price - but it also has its rewards. because my mother's life path was to live in her addiction, what i saw made certain that i did not have to follow that same path. my mother's choice to be an alcoholic made sure i was not one. she was a dark teacher, living in her addiction, but because of the spiritual contract we made to be mother and daughter, i have never been an addict. i've never even smoked a cigarette, smoked a joint, or even been drunk. as my first dark teacher, she gave me a great gift.
The script could still be a piece of crap, but she's not a total Hollywood airhead.
I remember that, Fantab. So silly.
Moosey is still pretty damn hot though.
Hee, can you imagine Adam with the little coach clipboard and such?
In reference to another bad Disney movie: Dress me!
No, seriously. I have nothing to wear because I haven't done laundry since I got back and I'm having issues finding something to wear to the concert tonight. Something tells me that the pink pajama pants and wife beater I'm currently wearing aren't appropriate attire.

Sloane! Adam's head seems so tiny (then again, Jeter has a relatively large head). We must go catch a Yankees game when I get to NY.
Chloe, you're definitely correct in your assessment of the one benefit to low expectations, but I just feel as if any movie with that storyline will be inevitably trashed by the critics, regardless of a good script, good acting, etc. Maybe not if the script is absolutely killer, but I just fear the worst, I guess. Thanks for finding the excerpt from her blog.

I'm sure there will be people wearing worse, skittles.
Hee. The sad thing is that you're probably right. *busts out with Carebears t-shirt*

Mandi, I just noticed your Moose reference. YAY. I love him. And he's even better drunk (see the circulating photos).
I can't stop listening to The Gods Love Nubia today. Weird? Yes.
Skittles I love you.

Hah. Personally, I prefer one with Eeyore.
Ah, Moose. He's my favorite! :) :) :) I did recently see some of those silly drunken photos circulating. 'Twas quite entertaining!

I like how 75% of this thread probably thinks we're talking about some animal that we all happen to love.
So... sushi or Chinese tonight? I can't decide.
Chinese.
I've been eating it almost all week. And that's not about to change any time soon.
Chinese!

That's what I'm leaning toward as well.
They're so not authentic Chinese food, but I love cream cheese wontons.
