I keep picturing Raul locked in a sound-proof room reading the 35th hour of the Stephen King book into a microphone. He is dehydrated and starving and they are not going to let him out until the d*mn audiobook is finished.
The audiobook has been finished for at least a month, I think, and he survived just fine.
Check out this video of Susan Blackwell at the Broadway Flea Market- it's great in general, but at about 14:00, she interviews Elizabeth Ashley, who tells Susan why she'd like to spend "Seven minutes in heaven" with Raul.
HAHA that video is excellent. I totally support such a booth. I love Anthony's facial expression when Susan proposes it to him. And word, Elizabeth Ashley. I love the way she says it, too. Gold mine.
I love that video! She is clearly a rabid fan. I love the way she can barely form a coherent sentence talking about him.
"he's sly.....and dangerous...."
Only slightly related, but if anyone cares, James Frain is on Grey's Anatomy tonight (right now on the East Coast).
From Wes Craven's Twitter:
25/8 News: Nearing the end of the first week of the final mix. The film is sounding great.
Still no word on the release date though...

Also only slightly related but Gareth Saxe is getting some nice notices as Hamlet at Shakespeare Theater of New Jersey, playing through October 11.
I actually really want to see that. I think he's so talented (and severely underrated).

And, to round out the HOMECOMING reunion thread, Michael McKean is starring in SUPERIOR DONUTS!
Ahem. The New York Times comments on the arbitrator's decision in the Sushigate hearing. Somehow, they managed to obtain a copy of the 44-page ruling.
An Inside Look at an Offstage Drama That Riveted Broadway
The ruling itself, all 44 pages.
Pulling back the curtain on a Broadway dispute
Per Wes Craven: the mix on 25/8 is finished, and they're looking for it to be released next Spring.
Raul went to a performance of Superior Donuts last week, coincidentally with Angela Lansbury.

Wes Craven has just announced that 25/8 has been retitled (that was just the working title all along, apparentl).
The new title is "My Soul To Take".

Completely loving the beard! :)
Eh, anything is better than 25/8. Movie titles should not require a disclaimer to explain the reference.
Oh, I agree! While I liked the 25/8 title I thought it was probably too subtle for the movie's....target audience. "My Soul To Take" is much better as a title, but I couldn't help the "ew", because of the imagery it created. Which was the intention, I'm sure, but still.... ew.

And an early birthday wish to Mr. Esparza who turns 39 tomorrow. Happy birthday, Raul, and hurry back to Broadway!
Happy Raul's birthday to you all.

James Frain (from HOMECOMING) was just on LIE TO ME, minus the English accent. Nicely done.
And Amazon.com shipped my TWELFTH NIGHT cd today.

James Frain has been popping up all over the place recently. I really enjoyed his guest spot on In Plain Sight a while back.
Enjoy Twelfth Night. :)
