Since Warlow originally (maybe) was a full-blooded faerie, like Niall, is Warlow now technically only part faerie, or is he a faerie that is also a vampire? We don't call the other vampires part-human, though. They're just vampires. Then again, Warlow still has faerie abilities, whereas vampires don't have human abilities (since, really, what is a human ability?).
Speaking of keeping someone up at night, does Warlow ever sleep? Does he ever need it? Why doesn't he get the bleeds?
It's a pretty popular opinion I've seen on tumblr and Youtube that the lightgasm signifies conception, but I really hope they don't go down that Twilight road. And if that was what that meant, then damn, Warlow blew his (War)load really quickly. Has he been celibate for 5000 years?
"It's a pretty popular opinion I've seen on tumblr and Youtube that the lightgasm signifies conception, but I really hope they don't go down that Twilight road."
Hell-to-the-NO!
Also, the governor touched his daughter and remarked that she was all cold. That leads me to wonder if Sookie has been working with ice cold peen and if Jason & Hoyt had to thaw out Jessica beforehand I'm just sayin'...
Finally caught up--the show is really starting to roll along (and only 4 more episodes!)
Surely James the "not a rapist" vamp will be seen again--otherwise why cast Luke Grimes (not that he's a huge name, but...) Speaking of odd cameos, it was a trip to see Stacy Haiduk (recently from All My Children and Young and the Restless, and Lana Lang from the old 80s Superboy series) as the werewolf hooker who likes to eat chicken naked--if you got it flaunt it, I suppose.
Watching the 5 min "Inside the episode" thing on hbo.com I realized the episode was directed by Howard Deutch--not sure if he's directed it before, who directed my two fave John Hughes scripted films, Pretty in Pink and Some Kind of Wonderful (as well as not faves of mine like The Great Outdoors, Grumpier Old Men and Odd COuple II.) I thought he actually did a particularly good job.
I actually have to admit that I skipped through bits and pieces of this episode, as it was a bit slow for me. Namely Alcide and the father. I am SO over them. However, the ending was beautiful, and Skarsgard played it brilliantly. Did not shed a tear but was very moved by the acting and those tender moments... before she melted. Gross.
What do we think about this new female vamp, who runs the show, in General Pop.? They have been teasing us for the last couple of episodes with some interaction and now, this week, it feels like an official introduction. Will she play an integral part in the season finale?
I CANNOT BELIEVE THERE ARE ONLY THREE EPISODES LEFT!
I honestly feel like casting Robert Patrick was a waste, and I am a fan of his. He has no point except to be gruff, surly, and give Alcide daddy issues. He does it pretty well, but I wish they had gone with someone else, so he wouldn't have to do it at all. Granted, this is assuming they bring Rutger back, which is a fleeting hope. With three episodes left, how could it be this season? How do you waste Rutger Hauer?!?
I slightly do not care about the female vamp in Gen Pop. The showrunner said at Comic Con that they were going to dwindle down to the smaller stories of the first season, and Rob Kazinsky said that several more characters are going to be offed. It's too late for me to be interested in someone new. She had more words than Tara!
The Sam/Nicole/Werewolf stuff this week wasn't too bad. It just bugs me that he literally just lost Luna a week ago. And Alcide is pack master! He shouldn't even have to give his pack a puny lie. Tell them the truth, and make them act right.
Get it, Jessica! It did break my heart a little that he unknowingly brought about the torture he was almost put through last week.
I love Pam in therapy, but the therapist creeps me out. He was the serial killer in Identity.
I know Bill told Eric about his vision to just include him in on the danger and the problems Bill is trying to correct. I know this won't happen, since I believed Eric when he said he would go back for Pam and Willa, but would Bill even allow Eric to stay away from vamp camp? If Eric refuses to go back, Bill would be proven wrong, and with the ego trip he is on, he may not allow that. Yes, he wants to save them from his vision, but he may want his vision to be perfectly carried out until the moment of salvation.
Didn't Bill tell Sookie in Season 1 that Hep V can't kill a vampire, just make them sick for a while? It was when she read the mind of the guy with Hep V that the nest of vamps wanted Bill to feed on. I swear that was said early on.
Ha! I think you do. I think this Hep V is a new invention created in the lab. I think maybe Bill had been referring to other blood borne pathogens back in the old days when we and Sookie were so young and innocent.
I was out of town (I have a life, you know, just like lovepuppy!) last week and this board - already on its decline - took a huge step backward while I was gone, it seems. Even True Blood can't make this board fun, anymore.
I liked last week a lot, but I thought this week's was kind of a dud. One of the only duds in what has been a pretty good season, so I'm not really complaining. I thought Nora was like 800 years old, too, but maybe I misunderstood something when she first appeared last year. Clearly, they couldn't get Godric to make an appearance, so I just found myself completely underwhelmed by the entire Nora flashback and present day scene. I'm tired of ancient characters being introduced just to have them die, but I was never really invested in Nora anyway.
Terry's death surprised me, but I think that was probably the best way he could have gone at this point. And perhaps grief will Arlene something more to do.
"Even True Blood can't make this board fun, anymore. "
When even True Blood can't fix the problem, you know it's gotten really bad around here... And I agree about Nora. I wasn't on the verge of tears or anything with her flashback/demise but I did appreciate Skarsgard's acting chops in that final moment.
Arlene definitely needs more to do. I loved her last night. Her reaction to Bill being there in the daytime was hilarious. Maybe with the life insurance policy (assuming that in True Blood universe, that wouldn't raise a red flag with the court), she can be a fun, rich drunk
i used to love this show, but really, dont you just want Soookie to die? she is just so annoying and causes so many problems for those around her.
more jason, lafayette and sarah though
