Post all of your grievances with Wal-Mart here.
Me?
I hate them. They, Starbucks, and many others are partially the reason why I'm fearing the future. Friggin imperialism.

I like Wal-Mart itself. (What can I say? I love the deals.) However, I hate the little kids who are inevitable screaming and being ignored by their parents. They can all go to hell.

My mom always say she feels like she's part of the scurge of the earth when she goes into a Walmart...
Target is where it's at.
But...but...caramel frappuccino!

as a college student I love walmart...
and I couldn't live w/out my white chocolate mocha cappucino...
I do hate the fact that walmart doesn't have any Broadway cd's though...wtf?!
BLUE cat - you should be shopping BLUE! Read the worst about ol' WalMart here: http://www.buyblue.org/
The only Wal-Mart in the county is 5 minutes from my parents' house. Going there on a Saturday afternoon is masochism.
I have no complaints about Starbucks...
haha...my family shops at Sam's club...not much I can do about that short of throwin myself in front of the car...
I'm with Munk...I love my Venti drip every morning. And on special occassions during the holidays, a yummy peppermint mocha!
But Wal-mart scares me. They have guns.
Hell, where else can you get an oil change, a toothbrush, a gallon of milk, a gas grill, a pot roast and underwear under the same roof??? Can't be that bad.
Oh, and Wal-mart sells many broadway cast recordings here.
Starbucks, can't live without.

I prefer Target over Wal-mart.
I'm conflicted about Wal-Mart. I know there's a lot to dislike about them, but didn't they do a lot to help during the whole Katrina disaster?

They treat their workers badly. They use sweat shops. As far as I'm concerned the whole Katrina thing was a cover up to make everyone think they were nice.
I do kinda like Starbucks though. It's so yummy!

Everyone uses sweat shops. Unfortunately, some places only have a Wal-Mart (IE, Bonham, TX). I'm not driving 20 minutes to a Target just to get something I could've gotten at Wal Mart.
And Starbucks is awesome. I love it how I can shop for groceries and drink my Starbucks at the same time. (Thank you, Vons! Also, in the Vons I shop at, there's a Panda Express.)
All I know about Wal-mart is that I pass one everytime I go Shopping at Target and will not step foot in it

Well, I would shop at Target except for the fact they are always out of stock on the things I need. So I have to run down the street to Wal-Mart.
And how can I hate Starbucks?? I love that place. I have to have my strawberries and cream frappachino fix everyday! And the peppermint mochas!
just got home from the new Wal-Mart Superstore here.....and LOVE it........much closer than the old crappy Wal-Mart

I think we could say that about every American major store chain....

Ok, another point. Wal-Mart is too big. It takes over everything. There's no room for local stores after they come in.

"The researchers concluded that Wal-Mart had a positive impact on US employment, generating 210,000 jobs by 2004, or 0.15 percent more that would have existed without Wal-Mart.
The report also found that Wal-Mart's low pay for employees led to a 2.2 percent drop in overall wages across the economy but maintained that this was offset by falling consumer prices.
"Consumers earned less in nominal dollars, but their income bought them more in the economy with Wal-Mart because of real disposable income gains," the study concluded."

How do you think those falling consumer prices are being achieved?

I hate Walmart and at the risk of sounding horrible I'm not so fond of the people who shop there. I have absolutely NO patience.
Im a large fan of Target though
If in Heaven you don't excel, you can always party down in hell...
Ooh yeah. Target is off the heezey.
Wal-Mart? Psssssh.
I refuse to buy food and underwear from under the same roof.
