Scottish oat scones. They are made from half oatmeal and half flour, and the texture is very different from regular scones, quite chewy. They are absolutely wonderful warm with some butter and raspberry jam.

Chloe - those sound really interseting.

I had never thought to use oatmeal in scones - but then again, I rarely, if ever bake scones - just good old cookies!

People are always asking for the recipe for my cream of carrot soup. I know it sounds boring but it's got cayenne pepper to make it very exciting! :)

LOL!

1 1/2 cups butter
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
3 cups sugar
6 eggs
3 cups flour
2 teaspoons vanilla

Pre heat oven to 300degrees.

Cream butter, cream cheese and sugar together.

Add eggs one at a time.

Add vanilla and then flour slowly.

Pour into a bundt pan or Tube pan.

Bake for 1 1/2 hours.

IMPORTANT: Do not try and rush by cooking faster in a hotter oven.

Honey:
Replace the butter with sour cream. Replace the regular sugar with brown sugar. Add one half cup of lindt white chocolate bars. Shaved with a grater very fine. Before baking cover the bottom of the pie crust with shavings of grated white chocolate.
Mix the eggs with Brown sugar, a touch of honey. Add a tiny bit of flour and add more white chocolate shavings to the batter.
I like to blend the batter by hand till it has no lumps.
In another bowl mix 1 creamcheese bar, 1 cup of sour cream a tablespoon of milk and blend until there are no lumps. Add more white shavings to that batter. Blend both together. Pour a velvety smooth mixture into a handmade pie crust. Bake.
To Make Pie Crust:
Crush oreos 5
Crush graham crackers 4
Press them into a bake pan until it covers the entire pan. (Before laying cookies the pan must be greased with margarine)
Pour batter into the pan and bake on a very low heat for 3 hours.
Check every ten minutes to make sure the pan does not burn.
I hour into baking add more shavings to your batter.
When it is done, set in your frig overnight.
In the morning add fresh raspberries, strawberries and blueberries to the top of the cheesecake.
It is divine.

You need to use fresh vanilla not imitation vanilla extract.
The real thing is so much better.
To make it pretty for bake sales:
On the top of the cheescake I added small flowers made with icing. About 7 flowers around the sides of the cheesecake.
The flower would have a fresh raspberry or strawberry next to it.
I sometimes added different colors depending on the occassion.
We had a bake sale on St Patricks Day and so the icing was green.
We sold so many. I refuse to use green icing but it was festive.

And here I thought the only thing Corine could make was reservations.

Still, the thought of the foundress of Corine's Corner standing behind a hot stove and wearing a Gracie Allen apron scares the living daylights out of me.

Several! I love to cook, and I love cooking for a crowd.
My chili is quite good. My chocolate mousse is to die for. (or so I am told) I make a chocolate pie for the holidays that my niecies and I have a tradition of hovering over it with forks. I now make two One that my nieces and I devour out of the pan, and one for the rest of the family. Well and then there are the cookies.
Oh and yesterday I had about30 people over faor a small family party, and the triffle was also a huge hit (even among the college age guys!)

I call them Bobby Flay cookies because...Bobby Flay amuses me? Who knows, but it's cake mix, oil, eggs, and whatever else I feel like throwing in there: Andes bars, peppermint, chocolate chips, Heath bars...

Also for my queso, affectionately known as Barf. Velveeta, salsa, and chili. Yum!

So I'm going to come raid your houses now....especially mominator's...

That sounds really complicated Corine. Well, actually I just read "low heat", "3 hours", "frig overnight" and said... not for me. Sounds so effing good though.
