i'm looking for some horror movies to watch... i like movies more about ghosts and spirits than gory killer movies... does anyone know of any good ones?
Do a search on IMDB.com. Trust me, you'll find all you'll ever need there about movies. Good luck!

yeah, IMDB is definetely the place to look. I don't watch too many movies in the horror genre, but a couple movies that come to mind are Mothman Prophecies, or The Ring. The Six Sense is also good, though you've probably seen that.
Not a great horror fan but there are a couple that I would mention which, IMO, are pretty good.
The first is David Cronenberg's "The Dead Zone" with Christopher Walken, Brooke Adams, Tom Skerritt, Herbert Lom and Martin Sheen. I have not the TV Series based on this film but the film is quite good.
The other film is Michael Crichton's "Coma" with Genevieve Bujold, Michael Douglas, Elizabeth Ashley, Rip Torn and Richard Widmark.
"Coma" was made in 1978 and "The Dead Zone" was made in 1983 before the real slasher and dead teenager movies started coming out and talking over the horror genre.
dead zone is actually one i've been meaning to see beacuse i'm a huge fan of the tv show.
If you like rabbits, I would suggest Donnie Darko!

Yeah, okay I would suggest Village of the Damned -- not really that scary but kinda funny or Rosemary's Baby.

Hm....I loved Identity, the Others, the Ring, Hide and Seek (although I know not many other people liked that one)...I'll try to think of more.
There's "Stir Of Echoes". Not a great movie, but there's this part where...
*spoilers*
...a girl is being dragged by her feet, stomach-down, and she's clawing at the floor and you see (and hear) her nail break off. That's one thing that freaks me out.
tiff that made me shudder.
fingernails creep me out.
I can deal with blood, gore, shootings, stabbings, maimings, etc, but fingernails and teeth are two things that just get to me. So yes, rent "Stir of Echoes" - that part will stick with you!

It’s not really a horror movie (it’s more creepy and unsettling than scary), but if you’ve never seen it, the original The Haunting is a great ghost story/haunted house movie (just avoid the god-awful remake at all costs).
These two are some of my favorite "The Others" and "The Skeleton Key".
I finally watched "Rent" DVD. It qualifies as a horror film.
Rosemary's Baby is pretty scary. The Haunting starring julie harris and claire bloom is also very scary.
Maybe less time at the movies or video store and more time learning to spell?

Abba,
Please change your spelling from "recamendations" to "recommendations."
My OCD is really acting up over it.

Besides people going nuts over a typo (lighten up!), anything by Vincent Price is scary.
Original House of Wax.
Original House on Haunted Hill.
