I'd like to see Twelfth Night transfer to Broadway if only for the chance that Jane Greenwood's beautiful work might finally win her a Tony.

"Note: this is not intended to disparage any of the above mentioned performers, whom I mostly like. It's just that there are folks who have been working in the theater for DECADES without a Tony."
I agree. It takes more than just one or two big shows to be in the category of "needs to win a Tony already" unless they happen to give a great performance IN THE FUTURE (which is unknowable). We can't say that So-and-so should have won for Such-and-such that one year therefore he deserves to win one in the future. I'm sure that if this question were asked in 1965 many people would have written that "Barbra Streisand needs to win a Tony already." The problem is that she never did another show after Funny Girl so it would be kinda hard to win one. Theater history is littered with people who've had a great year or two and then were never heard of again (on Broadway anyway).
Now, on the other had you've got the veterans who've been around for years and have been consistent in their work and keep coming back and giving us more but have still never won. Those are the ones that seem to fit the subject of this thread.
My votes:
Estelle Parsons
Dana Ivey
Victor Garber
Judy Kuhn
Julie Andrews (Would probably have to be in a play because of her voice problems.)
Garber and Kuhn definitely deserve to be included.
good call with Dana Ivey!

the "Susan Lucci of Broadway" as Hunter Bell called her, Kelli O'Hara.
Raul Esparza.
Victor Garber.
Gavin Creel.
Will Swenson (I personally think he and Greg Jbara should have tied for Best Feautured Actor)
I disagree, Swenson should have won landslide.
Anyways, definitely agree with Jane Greenwood, Estelle Parsons, and my favorite, Victor Garber.
I'd love to see Allison Janney take one for something some day, Andy Karl too. :)
And if someone would fkdsjlfsd revive Evita and let Orfeh have a go at it, she'd take the award in a second.

Where is all the love for Sherie
Then again, re: Allison Janney, who needs a Tony when you've got four Emmy's and a SAG Award? : Still, it'd be nice!
Raul Esparza. HE needs to even out his ratio. He should win one in every acting category for the next four years, that'll show the idiots who voted for DHP.
I'd LOVE to see Raul Esparza finally win the Tony Award he thoroughly deserves in the next few years - but you are actually showing yourself up as an UTTER ***** for the comment I've highlighted above.
DHP is a FINE actor, only a blinkered fool would characterize his Tony win as anything other than a surprise - NOT an injustice! Opinions like the one I've quoted do R.E. absolutely NO favours at all! :-{
Double post, sorry.
