"If Rebeck ever gets a Pulitzer, I will donkey punch Patti Lupone."
Now that's a quote to remember!
Ha! I just hate her writing style and I'm still amazed that she's gotten as famous/well-known as she has.
I remember reading that Speilberg was taken by her writing, which is why he asked her to create Smash. Oof. His mistake.
I predict the Pulitzer will go to THE FLICK.

won't be Luck Of The Irish, way too similar to Clybourne Park
Im hoping The Whale at least makes the shortlist

This award does far more harm to the theatre than good, and has been doing so for many years now.
Would that it could just disappear.
Any further insight or predictions?
Playbill agrees with some of you
I have a strong feeling ALL THE WAY will take the prize. The production was widely praised at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and won the Steinberg Prize this year.
I hated Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, but if it doesn't win, I have a sneaking suspicion this might be one of those years when they don't award it at all.

Disgraced or The Whale would make me happy, Vanya and Sonia would be all right as well! Neither the Flick nor Great God Pan should get it...don't know anything about All The Way, but will keep an eye out for it
I think it'll go to Vanya. Durang is a respected playwright who's never won. This is his chance.

My personal favorite for the Tony for Best Play (maybe the Pulitzer) is The Other Place. Loved that show!
Why do you think it does more harm than good?
Oh, don't feed it.
