How are we finding out when the new season is being announced? I’m waiting on Indianapolis Louisville, and they’ve said nothing so far as to when to expect the announcement of the new season.

for Houston, we got an email last week saying they will announce on the 11th. They usually post something on social media pages. In other words, just keep an eye out :)

Louisville is announcing on February 25 and Indianapolis is announcing on March 12. I know Indianapolis had a teaser for the announcement date/new season in the playbills at Annie, and I saw the Louisville date listed on the website tourstoyou.

Hamilton have only announced 1 date so far for their 2025/26 season, which is Cincinnati. I wonder if they are only going to scale back to 1 touring company?

This is confirmed. The Philip tour closes in Las Vegas on June 1.
I also see the Moulin Rouge tour closing this summer. It feels like it has run its course and I think we would have heard of at least one engagement for next season at this point.

You don’t think Moulin Rouge could do another lap of America then, play again big cities such as Los Angeles, San Francisco or D.C. etc? Too big a show to go 2nd National or Non Equity I think?
Would I be right in saying, if a show gets pick up to be part of a seasons subscription it’s a money spinner? For example The Notebook lost money on Broadway, but will make its money back on tour?

Hamilton is returning.
The Outsiders and Suffs are coming as well. Seems like Nashville is getting more and more first run tours.

Maybe 2024-2025 was just an exceptionally good season, but this feels maybe a little underwhelming in comparison. Shucked, Suffs, The Great Gatsby and maybe Water for Elephants I'm most interested in, but the others I could give or take for the most part.

The Minneapolis season:
Optional shows that can be added to a subscription package:
I think this is a solid line-up, especially considering Purple Rain is also carried over from last season. I was thinking The Outsiders or Hell's Kitchen would show up but once The Great Gatsby was announced, I figured that was going to be the big one.
It's interesting to note that they discussed beforehand the current shows on Broadway they were looking at for next season (I'm assuming they should tour). The four they mentioned specifically were Death Becomes Her, Oh Mary!, Operation Mincemeat, and Maybe Happy Ending. (Gypsy, Smash, Dead Outlaw, Stranger Things, Boop!, Bueva Vista Social Club, Real Women Have Curves, and Redwood were also listed).
I always cross my fingers we get a world premiere or are the launch for the tour...and we've been lucky the last few years, but as Kevin mentioned above, this is a pretty standard season. This year had its moments but Back to the Future was so awful that it just puts a cloud over everything that came after...even though Parade was absolutely thrilling.
I’m very intrigued by Harry Potters schedule, so far. It’s has unusual start days for both Atlanta and Minneapolis. Makes me wonder what kind of traveling it’ll be doing. A typical show of its size would usually have some sort of jump set, but it looks like they don’t have that here.

Yeah, if they made Phantom as an add-on instead of Les Mis (which was just here) and put The Outsiders or Hell's Kitchen in its place in the main lineup it would have read as more exciting (and the less said about Harry Potter, the better).
But the possibility of Operation Mincemeat, Maybe Happy Ending, and Oh, Mary next year definitely has me intrigued, to nothing of Gypsy, Boop!, and Dead Outlaw

What makes you think they don't have a jump set?
I have to say I'm very surprised at the short engagements. The set is pretty big, including two traps, and would seem rather expensive to load in.

Everyone has their own take. When I look at that lineup, I like it very much and would be most excited for the ones you didn't mention... Les Mis, Phantom, Chicago, and Wicked are all near the top of my list. I can't wait to see Gatsby. But I have little interest in Suffs and Shucked. I saw Potter when it is a 2 part show and loved it... not sure of it as a 1 parter on the road.

If the show had a jump set, it wouldn’t be taking them 2 weeks to move from Chicago to LA. They’ll likely downscale the show after the DC sit down, I’m presuming and will get rid of the traps.
Does DC have an official end date, yet?

(I know I could google it, but don't want to) The "big reveal" in second half was jaw dropping in London and San Francisco. (Even when I knew it was coming the second time) I am curious how they will handle it on the tour, even with a 19-week run at the Pantages in LA. After "Pride Rock" hollowed out the downstairs dressing rooms directly below the stage, trap doors are easy at the Pantages.

The break in between runs can be an intentional layoff, not entirely to do with loading schedules.
There are still large gaps in their schedule, apparently with more cities/dates to be announced. The current schedule is…
Los Angeles: February 15-June 22
Washington DC: July 8-August 31
Atlanta: February 26-March 21
Minneapolis: April 25-May 23
Stand-by Joined: 4/29/20
Long gap between Atlanta and Minneapolis, but not big enough to fit in another stop, given the time to load in/out.
If their load out/in requires a week layoff they could probably slip a stop in there from March 28th through April 18th. Honestly, it’ll probably be Houston.

Both Chicago and LA have lengthy six-month runs, so that wouldn't be surprising. And not only that, that's just a gap in performance dates. The size of this set, and it's traps and other employed technology, may require a longer tech period. I was very surprised how very little was downsized for tour.
Denver automatic season renewals start March 5-14. I asked if season would be announced before then. Answer was “no”

Anxiously awaiting Tampa/Straz Center too (on behalf of my parents, mostly) - their socials haven't said a word about it!

If it is Broadway Across America, they like to spread out their announcements to get each city a chance to hype each city up some.
