This does all feel a bit “Transport Group”, aka so-and-so Musical In Concert only to end up being barely-rehearsed highlights with Wikipedia notes in between. I doubt it will be the full show. Probably key numbers and hopefully some good stories from over the years.
Jordan Catalano said: "I wish they’d at least tell us what exactly it will be. The full show? Stories and performances? It doesn’t matter either way, but for all that money at least tell us. Feels a bit like we’ll all be going to one of AMC’s mystery movies."
From what I've been told is there will be 17 dancers for "The Line" that will do all of the choreography (Opening, At the Ballet, Montage, etc.). Any guests will move into "The Line" for their specific number. Tony Yazbeck is Zach, Nick Adams is Larry, Ian Liberto and Jessica Lee Goldyn are also part of "The Line " dancers. Music and The Mirror will have Donna sing it with Bowden, Goldyn, d'Amboise and Hurder doing various parts of the scene prior to it and after. All four will dance the number. Goldyn is doing the confrontation scene (One: rehearsal) w/Yazbeck.
Oh ok, so it IS the full show but with different people doing it like that? Wonder what Annette Bening is doing.

That'll be the interesting part of this. How do they seemlessly move these guests in and out of "The Line ". I was hoping to hear that more OBCs are participating, but haven't heard of anyone else besides the five that were announced at the beginning. Kay Cole? Nancy Lane? Donna Drake?

It's the full show. They're currently in their tech run now at the Shubert. They'll get a run through Sunday afternoon. Robyn Hurder is coming straight from Ogunquit after her show Saturday night.

For anyone watching this panel discussion online, am I alone in thinking this moderator is a mess…? He keeps speaking for the women and doesn’t seem to have any kind of format or questions in mind.

Agree. Insufferable and seemingly doing this all on the fly??
Not a SINGLE notecard?

The moderator also just said they are not doing the entire show on Sunday.

Oh it’s Richard Jay-Alexander. He’s talking like a pal and not a host. This is just social hour.
He’s most known for being resident director and EP for the original Les Mis on Broadway and he directs Chenoweth in her concerts.
Former Mariuses will NOT be tuning in…

Painful. I think he spoke more than the women did.
Are they still doing the flash mob at 5pm?

It was kind of hinted at during the Q&A today but I clarified with Priscilla Lopez that Sunday will NOT be the whole show but what I thought it would be, different parts performed and stories told about the show.

In some ways that could be even better. I’d expect many people in the audience will have seen and done the show before. The backstage stories can be really interesting especially now that so much time has passed and people may be more willing to share moments they’d kept under wraps until now.
The ladies were all lovely. Not much new info if you're an avid fan of the show. We've heard most of it before. The moderator was surprisingly unprepared and much too emotional. Leave the gushing to the fans. The flashmob was enthusiastic and sweet. All ages, sizes, and shapes, etc. Very 2025!
I agree.
And I don’t know that I knew that Baayork wasn’t part of the original taping sessions. If I did know, I had completely forgotten so when she said that today I was kind of shocked.

For anyone interested here’s the panel video. Discussion starts at the 39 minute mark. Yep you read that right.

Yes, Robyn agreed to do this before Smash announced their closing and, of course, before she decided to do High Society.

Happy this still happened as their were storms rolling through during the afternoon.

Just watched the panel conversation on YouTube. For the second oldest cast member on the stage, Kelly Bishop’s memory of the production is flawless. I do hope Priscilla Lopez is okay, she seemed to have trouble finding words a few times.

They also did "What I Did For Love " after this and it got me emotional. I know I'll be a mess on Sunday.

What a gross post.
Also Ms. Lopez is perfectly fine, thank you.
