What a gross post.
Also Ms. Lopez is perfectly fine, thank you."
Kelly Biahop had no problem remembering any details and everyone else had trouble. She corrected people multiple times. Generally the older people get, the more forgetful they are. I bet you’re one of those people who’d rather be nice than tell the truth, huh.
I hope all OBC that are still around will be there on Sunday. Bishop, Lee, McKechnie, Lopez, and Wayne Cilento are participating in the performance. I wonder about the others that are still around if they might make an appearance: Kay Cole, Nancy Lane, Ron Kuhlman, Trish Garland, Don Percassi, Renee Baughman, Donna Drake, Chuck Cissel, Carolyn Kirsch. Scott Allen, Brandt Edwards, Michael Serrecchia, Crissy Wilzak.
Playbill also has the full list of everyone that's performing.

I do hope Priscilla Lopez is okay, she seemed to have trouble finding words a few times.
I watched the entire panel discussion and never once did Lopez seem to look like she was having trouble. Every time she spoke she was coherent and even in her description of details. No idea what the ph**k you were watching and it’s obvious others saw what I saw.
We were there up close and she gave no sign of any “decline”. Talking and joking with her afterwards, she was the same warm and funny person she’s always been. I don’t know what you can hear on the livestream (I’ll check it out later), but her microphone had some issues so maybe that’s what you were picking up on.
But no, Priscilla Lopez had no trouble finding any words.

I have been waiting decades to hear this! Amazing how much of ACL is verbatim from this. Bravo!

It’s a full video of the live stream so we can clearly see her mic is popping plus she moves the mic away from her mouth often so her audio drops until she places the mic back to her mouth.

I'm actually getting a little nervous going to something this fancy.
I know one person said they are getting there early. How about everyone else? Do we have any idea of how long this is?
I don't plan to get dressed up considering how hot it's been plus it's supposed to rain tomorrow. Jeans and a button down shirt for me. Plus I'm up in the balcony and will be cramped up in my seat with no leg room.

thank you! I'm like stressed about this lol
Yeah, I’m not dressing up either. I have a four hour drive there and a four hour drive home, so I will be comfortable lol
Odd looking at the Shubert with all the 50th Anniversary ACL logo signs mixed in with all of the Hell's Kitchen signage and marquees. There's such a vibe around 45th Street for this celebration.

It's not that "fancy". It's a concert/dance concert. Be comfortable, wear shorts or whatever. We're going but not expecting much but the same choreo set, ONCE AGAIN, by Bayork Lee. It's going to be basic traditional Chorus Line with Broadway people. Nothing new or inventive about it.
Really hoping there is a REAL revival that can re-invent the tired wheel of this show that's well done in NYC and around the country. would enjoy seeing some new direction and choreography (the original is tired at this point). We've debated about putting tonight's tickets on Theatr for this very reason. It'll be nice but nothing new or special really. Another Entertainment Fund "event".
^ It might be worth it just for the stories they share. At the same time, I’m sure those will be available on a bootleg audio soon enough.
I can see people who paid $$$$$$$ thinking it was going to be the full show feeling especially shafted. I know the emotion that can be conveyed by the entire journey of the show start to finish, and that might be missing with this “best of” version.
It sounds like you’re upset that an evening celebrating the original production of the show is using some of the best choreography that’s ever been used on stage. “Once Again”.
The theatre as it looks now is posted on the show’s Instagram page. How good would that “letter signage” on the corner of the theatre look if it had been changed back to ACL rather than left as Hell’s Kitchen…! Too expensive I guess.

Right? Was anyone expecting to see this be a new, revised production??
Also, I saw a new production at Sadler’s Wells in London last year, with new staging and choreography, and I thought it was fantastic. I was hoping that would get a West End transfer.
It’s a one-night-only benefit concert. What did you expect? A Jamie Lloyd-directed reimagining…?

In his version, only the last surviving person auditioning gets the job.
Not expecting it for the for the one night only concert, no. It's meant to be a nostalgia "remember when" night for people who love the traditional production, Bennett, alumni, dancers etc. We get that and glad those who want to remember the original cast; or their regional, college or community theater version, with the Bennett choreography, can. But tonight will look at feel like most every version of the show abeit a little more concert-y. Same. Same. Same.
I agree with earlier posters. It WOULD be nice to see something DIFFERENT, 50 years later, in a full production. The bare black stage and choreo get old.

There's already press outside of the Shubert. It's already been stated by Lopez that this isn't a fully staged production. If anything, there might be an announcement about a revival coming to Broadway, possibly in the Spring.

Anyone there see anyone selling tickets? Worth a trip over? Thanks

The box office is open and I've seen people inside (Hell's Kitchen is dark today). I'm sure there's a few cancellations.

Thanks. Will give me an excuse to leave Queens at least!

Good luck. I just got on line at the Shubert and there is a long cancellation line already. My earlier post was around 5pm before I went to dinner.
