I could see Megan Hilty potentially playing Nellie, perhaps even Roxie Hart.

SJB needs her own show. A new, original one. She is quite a talent, its a shame her last two shows haven't done well.

Sutton's not leaving in Oct, but pretty close ...

This is too bad that it's closing already. I was really hoping to see this. I hope Marc Kudish will get a new show soon, I love him!

Block couldn't be more wrong for Fiona.

I believe Foster and Daniel Breaker are leaving SHREK on November 1st, not in October.

You're right, that is pretty f*cking crazy.

I am sort of fascinated at the comments in this thread concerning Ms. Block. I do not mean to sound disrespectful of a working actress in the business, but the reason she cannot 'catch a break' is because she is not a decent actress. She has a phenominal voice, but that is not enough nowadays. Now, granted I have only seen her in 9 to 5, but she was one of the giant reasons the show didn't work for me. And listening to her attempt to act on the cast recording makes me cringe to the point of skipping past songs. Just not a good actress in my opinion...which I'm sure is a reason her shows get bad reviews and always close. Not the only reason, mind you, but she sure doesn't help elevate that script like Janney did and Hilty did at times.
Tips for SJB to not be in a flop next time around:
1-Take more acting classes that aren't based around musical theatre.
2-Don't be afraid to open up and be real
3-Choose better scripts! Read some straight plays to help you understand what is a good scipt/idea and what is not.
4-Keep singing. Because your voice is awesome.

Hilty seems like more of a Fiona than Block, but I STILL can't see her as a Fiona. Does she even dance?

I was just daydreaming about SJB as Diana and part of me liked it... well, her vocals atleast.

I know it's a huge flop and all, but I really don't think she needs to quit the business and become a nanny because of it.
