Yes, but they rarely sign anything. The show had a small COVID outbreak two weeks ago with the swings doing split tracks. Don't think they want to jeopardize anything.
Thank you! Wanted to know if it was worth my time.
I saw on Reddit that an email went out, stating that they’ll be switching matinee performances from Wednesday to Thursday in September (will it last that long?) and it will be the only Broadway show to have a Thursday matinee considering Phantom is closing.
They'll be doing Wednesday and Thursday matinees. This will be their schedule come September:
Tuesday @ 7pm
Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday @ 2pm
Thursday, Friday, Saturday @ 8pm
Sunday @ 3pm

I saw this tonight and I enjoyed it and had a good time as well. Weak book but good dancing and singing
Robyn Hurder better got a Tony nomination. Her singing was phenomenal and I wish she danced more
However, this show is either going to close before June. If not, then definitely by August/September. The mezzanine was extremely empty.
Wednesday nights are their worst-attended shows. Can't judge by that. I'll hold off on passing judgment on the longevity of the show until the Spring when it gets warmer.
On the boats and on the planes, they're touring in America!
A national tour will launch in Providence, Rhode Island in fall 2024 and will play over 25 cities in its first year.

I predict that this will do well on tour. Besides subscriber houses having built-in guaranteed sales from season ticket purchases, folks across middle America and beyond will be all about a show with this music - especially crowds in their middle age and above. It's one thing for the interest to have worn off rather quickly in NYC, but when it's only playing a week or so in various cities, people will want to see it and it will sell at each stop.

I suspect this tour announcement means that they will fold the show on Broadway once the current block of tickets ends on Labor Day (after getting the lucrative summer money).

It's not touring until Fall 2024. They have tickets on sale through Jan. 2024 I think it holds out until the end of the year.
I caught this recently on a whim, and was shocked by just how much I enjoyed it. Will Swenson is great as Neil, and Robyn Hurder is giving a powerhouse performance as Marcia.
I guess Will Swenson is on vacation this week? Nick Fradiani will be on all week as NEIL - THEN

Neil is on CBS Sunday Morning tomorrow.
This is huge. I don't remember a show ever having TWO segments on CBS Sunday Morning!
This show is number one on the wish list of every single Broadway publicist. You know how important it is to the Broadway community by watching all the theatre ads running when they cut to break.
I was able to grab a rush ticket around noon directly at the box office today for the matinee to see Nick Fradiani. He's amazing and dare I say was better than Will Swenson? He seemed to have the voice down better, an overall better singing voice and more energetic. It wouldn't surprise me if Nick ends up headlining the tour when it starts next year.

This is great to hear! I wasn't planning on seeing this show until I heard Nick was the alternate (never thought I'd hear his name again after Idol). I'll have to snag tickets for an upcoming Wednesday night.
The rush tickets on the day of the show are partial view. I got front row A5. I've heard from others they've gotten side orchestra or rear mezz. But they appear available for every show now.
I wonder what Nick's schedule will be when their schedule changes? Thursday matinee or evening?

Yeah, Nick was amazing. Such a strong singer. I also probably prefer him over Will.
Will was out again last night. I had assumed he was on vacation last week. Don't know if Nick was on for the matinee today or if Will was back. Max Sangerman is the u/s for NEIL - THEN and apparently had his put-in last Thursday.
Nick performed at both shows today. Max Sangerman does have an upcoming date for when Nick is on vacation, but it's not disclosed yet.

The show pops up on TDF every now and then.
Will Swenson is expected back tonight.
Seeing this one in a few minutes.
