The distribution started at 10:10. By then, about 20 people on line.
I got Orchestra A1 (my usual seat!)
The first seven tickets are the front row side orchestra, so if you are one of the first 4 people there, you are guaranteed. If you are one of the first 7, it’s possible, depending on how many people before you buy 2
Was there any mention of who is playing Usher tonight?

None as of right now. I know on JAM/L. Morgan’s Live last night, there was no certainty and MRJ wasn’t sure either.
As I’ve understood it, this is their contingency plan going forth when it’s possible, but it won’t be known until callouts come in. (Safe to say, at minimum, Antwayn will be out until the weekend)

Is that seat too close?

Yes, the stage is v v high. I am 6’4 and I feel like I would even be dwarfed by the stage height. It is comical/sad to see people in the front row. Their poor necks! Try to sit at least 4 rows back if you are in the orchestra.
I’m 6’8, and personally don’t have much of a problem with looking up - mostly because my body is slightly turned at an angle toward the stage. When I’m in the front center where the lottery seats are, THATS when things are a little rough for even me

I saw the show once, I’m 5’2”. When I asked the ushers if they had any booster seats, she brought me TWO!!! She said “you’ll need them…” I laughed and said only one was necessary because I didn’t want to tower over everyone else / block the people behind me. She said okay and the person next to me ended up taking the extra one. The stage was HIGH; never experienced such a high stage before. Can definitely see why those are the lotto/rush seats. Oooof.
Spivey is out tonight - still not feeling well and just had a change in medication (per his story) that will hopefully help boost him to finish the run. It appears Kyle is Usher tonight
We sat LEFT ORCHESTRA Row B, Seats 1 & 3 last Wednesday. I‘m tall and my friend is shorter but we loved our seats. We were glad we weren’t front row center due to stage height.
As it appears, tonight’s show IS going on as normal, with Kyle on as Usher and J.M Reese on as #6
It doesn't appear as though Mars is back with the show and they may still be on vacation.

As someone else noted, making actors (many of them understudies) do a concert version is really stressful. I have empathy for the performers. If they are expected to shift into a concert version of the show at a moments notice, I can only imagine what else they have been put through. Clearly they are unhappy.
."
I dont think this is the issue; I certainly am not suggesting that performing a concert version is not stressful, or annoying, or whatnot. But the reason they are doing that version is because the performers seem to all be out, so then the question becomes "how come" and the answers have been...wanting.
i guess its easy to pretend that the criticism here is unfairly ignoring that people get sick, or downplaying that the concert version isn't ideal. but thats just not reality, and i think everyone here knows that.

There's nothing I've seen to indicate that they're still on vacation. I think they just weren't needed tonight. I believe L. Morgan, James, and John-Michael were all in. Just Spivey, Hopper, and I guess Bates are still out
Tonight was Freeman (Usher), Lee, Jackson, Lyles, Morrison, Veasey, and Reese (#6)
And for what it’s worth, they blew the damn roof off the place tonight. Like, everything and the kitchen sink went in and when the latter half started with “Periodically”, it was full speed ahead. Tonight was EASILY one of the top 5 performances in the 42 I’ve had the privilege to attend.

Love to hear this and thanks for the report! Just curious, what was your number 1 performance? Mine was the night Gayle King was there with the full cast.

I think nothing will truly beat the first time because that’s when I realized this was something special and worthy of my attention and that I needed to drag everyone I knew to see this
Same u/s as yesterday. Kyle as Usher & JMR as Thought 6.
Short of any other illness/performer issues, I think this is likely the lineup through Friday at least.
I don't see Spivery returning and doing 4 shows in 2 days. If Bates is back, they might have him sub in instead of Kyle.

I liked this show but didn't love it. I appreciate it's cultural significance and place in Broadway history but I am just not a fan of the style. I am happy I saw the show with the original cast all healthy. I think this won the tony in part due to a limited year but I do hope it inspires people to innovate or push boundaries on new shows. I just can not imagine ever being good enough at anything where I can do one role on a stage at the biggest stage and then drop everything else to do a different role on the biggest stage. These people are so insanely talented.

Two things:
1) Not sure what you mean by a “limited year”. For the first time ever, there were 6 nominees in the Best Musical category and it had to fend off strong competition from MJ and especially Six. In a “limited year”, it would’ve definitely picked up a lot more hardware (see “Moulin Rouge” in 2020, where it only had two other musicals competing against it).
2) What is your last sentence even about? Who is dropping out of their roles to go do another role? You are making absolutely no sense
“2) What is your last sentence even about? Who is dropping out of their roles to go do another role? You are making absolutely no sense”
I took that last part of their post to mean the understudies, I think? Like how Kyle Freeman can do one of the Thoughts for one show and the next day go on as Usher? I was trying to find some sort of narrative line in that bit, lol.

…That does make it make sense.
I totally understood what that last sentence meant.
Tonight is on regularly - Kyle is Usher, Reese is #6
