Due to breakthrough COVID, first preview was pushed back to the 9th.

Thanks! The Playbill upcoming show schedule may need to be updated then! haha.

I completely forgot this was starting soon so I went online to look at tix. Holy hell, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a show starting this soon that has pretty much every date so completely unsold.
Yeah. I don’t foresee this lasting a very long time unless they have some big bucks behind it willing to maybe push it through the holidays and shutter a little into January.
Can a show even start performances with an empty house like this?

If something like Almost Famous is struggling…
This will be playing to handfuls.

Surprised this hasn't popped up on papering sites yet
Does anyone know what show is slated for theBelasco this spring?

Goodnight, Oscar with Sean Hayes.
There was a rumor on here a few weeks ago that it would be moving to the Music Box instead (a more desirable house) but no announcement yet.

Hey troynow, your intel is always on point! Do you have any idea if Sing Street is going to transfer this spring? Do they have a theatre?
Fasten your seatbelts and prepare for takeoff.
The new play Ain’t No Mo’ begins previews tomorrow before a December 1 opening night at the Belasco Theatre. The onstage cast features Jordan E. Cooper, Fedna Jacquet, Marchánt Davis, Shannon Matesky, Ebony Marshall-Oliver, and Crystal Lucas-Perry. Ain’t No Mo’ — written by Cooper and directed by Stevie Walker-Webb — plays a limited engagement thru February 26.
“Direct from a smash-hit run at The Public Theater, Ain’t No Mo’ dares to ask the incendiary question, ‘What if the U.S. government offered Black Americans one-way plane tickets to Africa?’ The answer is the high-octane new comedy from the mischievous mind of playwright Jordan E. Cooper. Moving faster than a transatlantic jet plane, this unprecedented, unpredictable comedy speeds through the turbulent skies of being Black in today’s America. Brilliantly blending sketch, satire, avant garde theater, and a dose of drag, Ain’t No Mo’ will leave you crying with laughter — and thinking through the tears. So put your tray tables in the upright position. Enjoy your flight. And never look back.”
Who’s climbing aboard?
Will hopefully catch this at some point on my trip. $40 lottery now appearing on telecharge.
To celebrate their first Broadway preview, Ain't No Mo' will offer a limited number of $20 tickets to all preview performances tomorrow (for one day only) at the box office.

That's not a great sign.
Oh boy. Not a good sign. But take advantage of this if you can.
If anyone is going to the Box Office and can get me a ticket for either show on Friday 11/25, I will be grateful and can compensate you a few $ for your trouble.
According to Telecharge, tonight's performance is totally sold out. There are plenty of tickets left for tomorrow, though.

Did the promo this morning, got fourth row on the side aisle in the orchestra for a show next week, was about 25 people in line when the box office opened
Did anyone go tonight? Telecharge lists a 90-minute runtime, no intermission.

I wish they could have run that $20 discount for longer. I just couldn't get uptown today. It doesn't look like they sold that many tickets.

I was there last night. A complete & utter mess. Clearly not ready for an audience. I have no idea what this show is supposed to be. A real disappointment. It started out raucous then completely fell apart. The audience just sat there when it was done. We had no idea it was over. That’s it? WTF? Granted it’s the preview, but that was a disaster.
