Don't worry, there's still more to talk about! Concert on Friday, then on Sunday, then Michael's concert, then September previews, then the opening. Lots of Bare lined up!
I'm impressed we lasted so long after the May closing.

BlueWizard- There was no gap in the show when Aaron was out. Adam played Matt (which was usually Aaron's role) and Scott Algauar (who was a swing and wasn't in the show normally) played Lucas (which was usually Adam's role). All the rest of the cast was there so there was the same number of cast members as usual. Now I don't know what they would do if more than one of the guys was out at the same time, but since it was only Aaron who was out there were no gaps and the show went just fine.
We've all got our junk and my junk is you!

OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD
Michael Arden interview and news!!! Click on link below! (Adorable picture! - it's from the opening night of Bare.) Great interview (albeit short - but at least it's personal!)
Here we are, drooling and oggling over Michael, all this time not knowing that he's doing a summer play this week (and only this week!). Here's the info I found for It's Only Life:
https://www.spfnyc.com/shows/profile.cfm?showid=8
It's playing from July 27 (tomorrow) to August 1st. Billy Porter's in it, too; he's a wonderful performer, I saw him in Miss Saigon.
Note the quotation about Bare:
He says that he doesn't think the show will be "drastically different" from its Off-Off-Broadway [sic] incarnation at the American Theatre of Actors, "but I know the authors are honing in on some things, stripping away others, and bringing more form to the relationship between Peter -- my character -- and Jason. I am really excited to see the new stuff."
Also note that he'll be at "Jacob's Pillow from August 26 to 29." If anyone attends these events, remember to bring a camera!
Go, my New Yorker shirelings, go enjoy the art of Michael Arden!
This boy really needs an official website. All these goings-on, but how would we ever know?

Another quick question for those in the know. Did Bare have some sort of rush policy at the ATA? Will there be one at Dodger Stages this fall? Thanks so much!

Why does Michael have to be doing all these amazing things while I'm already committed to something else??? WHY ME!!! If anyone attends these shows, please fill the poor few who can't go in, it shall be greatly appreciated!
Great article though, he's so unbelievably talented. Very inspirational.
I may be able to catch the Jacob's Pillow thing..hmmm

Yay, Madeofgold and I will be It's Only Life. More Michael in close proximity and some other great performers as well. Looking forward to it!

LOL, why you? Why me! I'm the one living in another city!
I won't even be able to catch Bare when it reopens.
So you're all going to have to catch me up on the changes - spoilers be damned!

Hi all,
I am visiting the city this weekend, and scored tickets today to the Joe's Pub bare cast party on Sunday night. Does anyone know if they allow cameras for those kind of events? After seeing Michael Arden's picture on theatremania.com, I just had to attend!!!
Thanks in advance,
Joel

LOL AG! You're right. It's like we all gave birth to a new member tonight!
Cameras are allowed at Joe's Pub though I hope Linda will be there to take some professional ones like last time. They also videotaped the first concert which I hope will someday make it's way into our grubby little hands!

Wait, we all gave birth and I missed the festivities? I'm a bad daddy...(maybe I need a spanking?). *sigh* all this Michaelness has got my head in a tizzy.
There are some people in the world who say that writing stories, or composing music or dancing sparkly dances is easy for them. Nothing interferes with their ability to create. While I celebrate their creative freedom, a little part of me just wants to punch those motherf*ckers in the teeth...[tos]

STAR!!! where have you been!?!? Yes you missed the birth, it was quite a site...for a handful of gay men and a few straight women we were able to get a kid, that's saying something!!!
Michael...oh gosh he gets me more than into a tizzy
