2Day, you're adorable too. Sigh. What's a straight girl to do with all of you boys?
Water, water everywhere and not a drop to drink!

There's a discussion on the Barees site (which is all but dead) that I thought we'd bring here too: did anyone get to see Michael Arden in Big River? I really wish I caught this show (not just for Michael - the production itself looked like a very beautiful and moving piece of work); I'm sure Michael was very excited to be in his first Broadway musical, and in a speaking/singing role at that.

*le sigh* too much stimulation on this site with all the cute boys
I've been missing my BARE Cast thread all day, went to go see Aida tonight (GREAT show, new standby for Aida Ta'Hea Campell is AMAZING go see it for her if anything else) I searched not too far in advance and they still had front row seats available....pray that the ticket price and larger venue don't hurt this show!!! On a happier Bare note, I got all happy seeing the new posters up, and the new story in the latest playbill. LONG LIVE BARE (AND IT'S CUTE BOYS!!!)

There are posters up?? (See what I miss when I'm not in New York! *sigh*) Are they any different from the old ones? I think they need to change the show's logo.
And what's in the newest Playbill?

Same old posters but with the return date posted in bright letters, I agree about the logo change.
The new playbill article is very much like the previous, but it states about their apperance at Broadway at Bryant Park. Mentions the cast and what not. More publicity is good!!!
I went to see Beauty and the Beast with my little cousins on Sunday and saw BARE in the Playbill too (it served as a good distraction from the crapness that is Christy Carlson Romano...). It just talks a little about how this is an up-and-coming show and how it broke sales records in L.A. and in its NYC run earlier this year. The article also mentions BareAPopOpera.com, where you can download the sampler, and talks about how handing out the CD samplers was a good call by the producers because it's helping get the word out (living proof right here!).
And oh my - this might be the best-looking thread on BWW.com! I feel bad for us straight girls. :/
I also find kinda funny, though, that Playbill has an article on them, because the programmes at Bare weren't Playbills.

I was at Wicked this Sunday and they were handing out Bare sampler cds! Trisky and I actually have been pimping Bare on our LJs for months and a bunch of people are coming in from out of town to see the show. That makes us very, very happy! :)
And I agree about the poster. They need to highlight this hot cast in some way. The old poster is a little blah don't you think?
And AG, I saw Aida last week too. I love me some Adam Pascal. I was really impressed with Deborah Cox's voice. Maybe not so much her acting but she sang beautifully.

I hear ya BlueWizard. The grass is always greener and all that. :P

You guys are too much. Trying to scare the new guy away? Too bad I can't comment on most of you, but WhatDoINeed....must say you are one of the first guys with longer than short hair that I find cute! On another note, I too saw Aida last week. Fantastic as always, but missed Adam. Going back September 5! :)
I for one think WhatDoINeed and 2Day are both hotties!

Hey Bare family :) Hmm random thought...In "Are You There" where Matt says "I'll drink to that", does anyone else think of RENT? "I'll drink to that/Let's always stay friends" lol hmm...
Ehhh I didn't automatically think RENT. No offense to you marebare, but I HATE all these comparisons to RENT that some critics have made towards the show. I find it much more moving and even catchier than RENT. IMO.
Oh yeah I definately agree with you!! At least for me, I can relate much more with the issues in Bare than those in RENT, so I definately connect with the score more. That one random line just always pops out in my head lol!
Rent is currently my favorite show, but I'm hoping that changes when I see Bare in October. Should I be setting my expectations that high?
Also, came up with a lyric question. Probably my favorite little section on the Sampler CD is the 5 part harmony/chorus thing near the end of "One". Ok, well...Ivy has a line in there, and to me it sounds like....one stolen ____? Am I on the right track? I think it's repeated by two guys after that. Her word sounds like -air, and the guys sounds like -aze. OK, now I'm rambling. Congratulations if you understand this! Can anyone help??
