Honestly expecting mixed to mildly positive notices tonight (with most of the praise saved for Jasmine) reading all your thoughts these last few weeks... let's see!

Interesting analysis on the reviews… Historically, the worst thing a production could wish for is mixed reviews as it’s near impossible to market yourself out of those. Yes, word-of-mouth is critical, however, a rave review is what you want and if you get bad reviews, then it’s pretty definitive. But mixed reviews only cost a production Millions of dollars in marketing to try to sway the public to believe the show is actually in good shape.

Gurl: you’re actually very articulate and I wish you’d spend your energy on other things . Because all anyone gets from you here is noise. Why do you keep going on about this show ? Your shtick has gotten old . You have strangers hating you and wishing you ill. Why do this to yourself ? Bad Karma.

Rubbish
A show would rather have mixed reviews than brutal pans (Tammy Faye), shows have got rave reviews and closed early (Groundhog Day or Bright Star) or a show can get panned and run (The Addams Family.) The press doesn’t have the power to sell a show anymore, like they used to. People go to other sources now, such as some social media.
The Outsiders got mixed reviews, went on to get the Tony and is a sell out, which is making a fistful of dollars.

you are referencing shows that had major equity from either movie franchises or other valuable history. This show does not have that benefit. However, in a few short hours, we shall see.
And the earlier reference, suggesting that people hate me on this thread, to quote the great William Shatner… Get a life.
Within the context of these threads everyone hates you. You are negative and repetitive . Might I suggest you are the one that needs to get a life.

I just got $99 seats for next week in row B Center Orchestra. With code Boopmania I noticed several at $129 for front center orchestra. These won't last especially if the reviews are good.

So wait... is the show "wonderful" or, as you said in the other thread, "deeply flawed and dull?" Seems like you can't make up your mind, so you just keep posting in an effort to garner attention. Probably best to stop posting altogether.

Thanks genius! I have seen multiple performances and it has gone from dull to mildly entertaining. That trajectory does not spell success. And I will post as I wish, you can pretend to block me but still read me as I am the only one that speaks the truth about this lovely but deeply flawed mish mash. Tony for Jasmine but that’s about it.
Stop giving this troll attention ffs

You quite literally called it "deeply flawed and dull" YESTERDAY. And you called it that in response to someone else's enjoyment of the show, not to claims about the show's trajectory towards success. So you can miss me with that attempt at a justification, because now you're just lying. I will not pretend to block you because that's childish. I would much rather call you out on your continued nonsense since that's much more fun for me. If you wish to block ME, that's your prerogative, toots.

IMO, BOOP is pure fun. There's room for BOOP on Broadway. I hope it succeeds and goes on tour. I'd love it!
Really odd.. that someone claiming to be at tonights opening right now , has nothing better to do than to post here. And about a show they hate and that their friend is involved with. And yet ; he is the one telling people to get a life.
This show is incredibly fun which so many people need right now. To all involved in the production, break a leg!

Wasn't the curtain going up at 6:30PM tonight?

I'll be very surprised if it gets a lot of positive reviews..

First, the show definitely had a 6:30 curtain tonight. So the fact this guy is posting at 7:30? Interesting. I thought he was a fancy friend of the show going to opening?
Second, reviews are embargoed until Monday, I believe. So you won’t see anything tonight.

This is getting CRAZY. Ive heard the producers think it's a good idea so that they can have a 'quiet' evening, but it is a definite buzz killer for folks like me. I'm old and old fashioned, but I actually have looked forward to 10 PM on opening night to see what the critics think.
WHY even have an opening night -- previews started weeks ago (at the same price as after opening night). Just announce when the show is 'frozen' and have as many parties as you want.
And it's even more crazy that the media tolerates this. Why -- so they can get a free ticket to the show? I know these are 'interesting' times -- but imagine if comments on the State of the Union address were embargoed for two days so that the President and his friends could have a nice evening. Or noone printed a critique of the Super Bowl for 48 hours after the end of the game. Just nuts.
The media should BUY their own tickets, and print their opinions any time they want.
