Second, reviews are embargoed until Monday, I believe. So you won’t see anything tonight."
This is getting CRAZY. Ive heard the producers think it's a good idea so that they can have a 'quiet' evening, but it is a definite buzz killer for folks like me. I'm old and old fashioned, but I actually have looked forward to 10 PM on opening night to see what the critics think.
WHY even have an opening night -- previews started weeks ago (at the same price as after opening night). Just announce when the show is 'frozen' and have as many parties as you want.
And it's even more crazy that the media tolerates this. Why -- so they can get a free ticket to the show? I know these are 'interesting' times -- but imagine if comments on the State of the Union address were embargoed for two days so that the President and his friends could have a nice evening. Or noone printed a critique of the Super Bowl for 48 hours after the end of the game. Just nuts.
The media should BUY their own tickets, and print their opinions any time they want.
