I hope the production team makes up their mind on who Betty is.

Is she a feminist champion who everyone remembers for playing iconic roles? (No, but that's how multiple characters treat her.)

Is she a retro embarrassment who was repeatedly sexual harassed for laughs? (Sometimes. It's an interesting thread that the book briefly discusses in the second act, then drops.)

Is she someone who wants to leave the confines of the cartoon world to experience human complexity? (Maybe? Though these elements feel ripped from the Barbie movie.)

Pick a story and develop it.

It’s going into one of the theatres that has a limited engagement plays this fall. Broadhurst, Barrymore, or Jones

I think people are going to be really surprised by how strong and earwormy the score is, and of course Jasmine Amy Rogers is gonna blow people's minds."

Now imagine if in a year already stacked with heavy-duty roles for Lead Actress in a Musical, Rogers winds up sweeping in and taking the Tony for playing Betty Boop.

I don't mean that in a negative way, mind you - I'd love to see something like that happen!

Didn’t see it, but I know there was an 18-piece orchestra, including a viola.

Don’t they usually upgrade the show for Broadway?  Cutting the pit would be sad 

It's already been reported Boop's capitalization is somewhere around $25mil - it's already a very expensive production.

Tickets will go on sale November 19.
