I think Be Inspired understands what I meant to say in my comment! I think the only person who seems to 'love' Billy, MF, is you with Liam. To be honest, I think it would be slightly perverted if I 'fancied' James at my age, as I am slightly older than him! As I work in the Performing Industry myself, I can see when someone has a tremendous passion and talent. I see it both with James and George, but not quite with Liam. Don't get me wrong, I think everyone will agree when I say Liam's ballet is absolutely beautiful...But in my honest opinion and I have no means of trying annoy certain people, that is all I like about Liam's performance and all he seems to be good at. Perhaps he is too young to cope with the pressure? Maybe in time he will grow into his part, but I think this will take a long time. But then again, Liam has been dancing longer than George and James, yet I feel they are better dancers, singers, actors and performers than Liam.
so liam cant sing or dance.cant handel pressure.is only gud at ballet but nothing else.has no passion or talent. COMPLETE RUBBISH how is this not slating liam be inspired an u others eh. if u cant post anything but this stupid nonsense billy elliot 2 then y bother. FACT liam is the best singer dancer actor ballet dancer. FACT liam is the best billy also dont like this nonsense bout liam supposed to av cracked up an cant handel pressure,u and be inspired av both said it now-maybe u r same person eh. he is a young lad an if he gets tired an ill through his constant tremendos performances that is understandable OK. Maybe if james an george put as much into it as liam they wud need rest to. LEAVE OFF LIAM UR MAKIN URSELF LOOK STUPID

MUSICALS FAN you are really not helping Liam's cause one iota by constantly belittling other people's genuinely held views. What Billy Elliot2 (and others including myself in the past) have agreed upon is the very high standard of Liam's dancing which has been one of the soaring hallmark successes of this musical so far. Having seen Liam perform several times since May I have also been impressed at the overall development in his singing and acting as well. Where I totally part company with you is that I feel that comparisons between the Billys (or Michaels or Debbies for that matter) are completely invidious. What is the point of denegrating one performer at the expense of another when we can celebrate all the various attributes and skills they bring to their performances? With regard to Liam's present position I agree with you that he appears tired and I feel that he is in need of an extended rest and a break (well done James for standing in at such short notice). I feel that the dual demands of the musical and Liam's Royal ballet School regime (which he appears to have now left) have led to a classic case of 'burn-out'. If this has deprived the ballet world in consequence of a wonderful dancer of the future, then this will be an absolute tragedy and a waste of undoubted talent. I feel that the RBS and the musical's Director must share some responsibility if this is the case and I intend to write to Stephen Daldry to let him know my feelings. Please therefore can we move on and thank James, George, Liam and Leon (and all the other child performers) for their wonderful performances week in and week out.Without them and their enthusiasm and skill this thread and discussion would become meaningless and redundant.
musicals fan... obviously it is not a fact that Liam is the best Billy it is YOUR opinion. my favourite is george and someone recently said their favourite is james and yours is liam... all opinions and all valid!!! you have said to me you actually enjoy seeing the others so why then critisize?
for those of you that have realised i have only seen george not the others... that was my friend posting who has seen them all!!! saying that i still think george was fabulous!!lol
I'm new to this board so I don't know much about the history or what ever between you guys and MF but I came on to this board having just got back from holiday thinking that there might be something interesting and all I find is your arguments. Pleeeeeeese stop! I have been to see Liam perform so personally I like him best but I am very biased because I have only seen him so I wouldn't be able to give a proper opinion. So MF - I can understand why it must be annoying to hear people 'slating' liam a little bit but geting angry doesn't help at all. I would love to see the other boys play as Billy but I don't think I will EVER be able to see it again. None of the boys would have been chosen if they wern't brilliant and it is totally unfair to even begin to judge them as I don't think any of us hav actually met any of them properly (I havn't either) so pleeeese stop arguing. I would like to be able to remember a realy inspiring and moving night by coming on here in stead of arguments. Being in the same year as Liam I found it particulary brilliant,so why can't we just forget about this whole thing and go back to our peaceful billy loving selves? hmmmm? phew that was a long post... :)
I'm just going to hop in not having seen the show I can't really go along with the argument between who is better..but, I do agree that I'm sure that each of them is good for their own individual reasons. You can't go around imposing your opinion on everybody elses. Telling them that they're wrong for thinking the way they do is not the way. Also, by spelling the word you're "ur" you are in fact being hypocritical by says "ur stupid" when the actual sentence would be "you're stupid." Handle is also h-a-n-d-l-e not h-a-n-d-e-l.
I saw the show last night (Tue). Although my sixth time (J2, G2, L1, L1)it was great to see again. The energy from all the cast, incl a number of understudies, was immense. Micheal (I think Bradley) was so funny. also appreciated the lighting much more last night; it is incredible (there is so much to take in on this show). I first saw the show in June with George; well his performance last night was stunning! His angry dance is awsome. I hope that it is filmed/videoed, not as multi-cuts and cutaways but as a single take like some of the old Fred Astaire movies. Though his performance in June was great I think that it has improved; it certainly is absolutely fresh. Incidentaly, I saw a boy in the stalls who I think was James Lomas, but I could be mistaken.
it was SO annoying! I queued yesterday for day tkts from 10. And the guy in front of me bought the last pair of tkts! And 2 hrs of wait and wind up with nothing! So annoying! I hope tonight's George, cuz I have seen Leon already! btw, who's queuing up on Fri for James?

Of course me! My favourite is Liam, but I also enjoy to see the others. I can't wait to see James again. Could you all stop the argument, please? It's unpleasant to see this kind of argument involving children.

Now that some of the new cast members have settled into the show, has anyone had the chance to take any good photo's of the likes of Joey who plays "Michael", Leon who plays "Billy", or Tom who plays the "Small Boy". How about any of the new ballet girls?
Yes you did spot James Lomas sat in the stalls last night. He was taking in the small changes that have been made over the last 5 weeks. He saw the new ballet girls yesterday and said they were very sweet.
i agree with wat becf sed about george wen i first saw the show in may, george was no doubt excellent, but when i saw him agen at the begining of october, he was sooo much better. he seemed so much more relaxed as billy, and in the angry dance you really do believe that he is angry. the expression on his face is amazing. im going agen on the 8th of nov and cnt wait!
i REALLY want to...but it doesnt look like it is going to happen any one who is going...make sure you come back and tellus how good it was Updated On: 10/26/05 at 01:39 PM
