Jasmine Guy doesn't thrill me either. She was just okay in "Chicago" and there is better talent out there eager for the role I'm sure. But you know sometimes I suppose they want some sort of recognition name to sell on. We'll know soon.

Not yet...but i have the feeling something will be announced soon. I guess we can just guess who the hell is going to star in it!!! probably a bunch of people we have never heard before. I really hope Anajali Bhimani is in the tour reprising the role of Rani(second cast). She was amazing and funny!!! I still feel bad because my pic with her never came out.

I still didn't give up on the idea of Tamyra Gray doing the tour, even tho she probably won't do it. She said on her website that being on Broadway is exausting and that she didn't have time to do anything. Even the days she had only 1 show.

Well at least we do know that Jasmine Guy won't be in BoMbAy DrEaMs, I actually agree she would be kinda old to play Pryia.

No, I just heard she is touring in a play - I cannot remember the name but I'm not a Jasmine fan either. Wasn't she from "Moesha"?

I think that is where Jasmine Guy was first seen ("Moesha"), Then they gave her a spinoff of her own. Brandy sure vanished from sight - Maybe she is in "Bombay Dreams", lol, just joking.
I never much liked Jasmine Guy on "Moesha" the few times I saw it either. She was this black girl with a strange voice & attitude and that was about it.

"Bombay Dreams" remains the only show I ever walked out on. Saw it in London and loved it. The broadway production was almost as bad as the OBC of "Chess".

oh i remember now! tnks again theatrespaz.
and Follies...i walked never walk out on any show, many times I feel like doing it, and actually at the end of Bombay Dreams everything turns around, so it's not too smart walking out on this show. Anyhow I wanted to walk out while seeing many shows, The lion king, Movin Out, Sweeney Todd, DRS, The producers, BKLYN and many others. Still i paid for all the shows i saw, so i stay till the end and hoping it will have a good ending. Some shows actually get better by the end.

I've only wanted to walk out on 42nd Street, it was a non-equity tour, so I guess nothing was "up to par" but still, the show sucked. Why didn't you like the other shows? Esp, DRS and Producers?
#199
Posted: 2/2/06 at 7:24pm
I didn't like DRS becuz the show is about people stealing and that doesn't seem very funny to me. The Producers...i hate to see people laughing at someone for being gay. And i hate the gay stereotype.
