did you see the slideshow? and hear Pryce's comments during it? so cool!

You must remember all the same that at the crux of every game is knowing when it's time to leave the table... And it's important to be artful in your exit. No turning back, you must accept the con is done... It was a ball, it was a blast. And it's a shame it couldn't last. But every chapter has to end, you must agree. ~Dirty Rotten Scoundrels~
There's a special kind of people known as show people. We live in a world full of dreams. Sometimes we're not too certain what's false and what's real. But we're seldom in doubt about what we feel. ~Curtains~
It is a far, far better thing I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest I go to, than I have ever known. ~A Tale of Two Cities ~
Hopefully, this will help to sustain the show. He does call it "the most improved" show on Broadway...and says that he wasn't looking forward to seeing it again, but was turned around by the performances. That's like champagne (no, make that asti spumante) from a Times critic.

"If any relationship involves a flow chart, get out of it...FAST!"
I saw this show for the first time on Saturday and loved it. I thought it was hilarious. I agree that Jonathan Pryce and Rachel York were excellent. Norbert Leo Butz was out, but his understudy, Joe Cassidy, was terrific, as well.
The humor may be low-brow, but the delivery is total sophistication. Great, great comic timing all around.
I am seeing it again tonight...... so looking forward to it.
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen."

I couldn't be HAPPIER for this show. It deserved this kind of critical praise the first time around and now with these re-reviews, especially that darling review from Brantly, I hope it runs a long time! Bravo DRS cast & crew.
Wow, I can't believe some of these reviews. I'm thrilled and I agree it deserved these reviews the first time around. But some of these almost puzzle me, Le Sourd imparticular (my local critic). He gave DRS the biggest pan possible in his initial review, I remember saying that was the most ridiculous review I've ever read. And now he just says everything works, and is raving about everything, not just Pryce. I mean I'm thrilled that he changed his tune, but yeah.
Well nonetheless, I'm ecstatic for DRS. It deserves this.
"If there was a Mount Rushmore for Broadway scores, "West Side Story" would be front and center. It snaps, it crackles it pops! It surges with a roar, its energy and sheer life undiminished by the years" - NYPost reviewer Elisabeth Vincentelli
"You pile up enough tomorrows, and you'll find you are left with nothing but a lot of empty yesterdays. I don't know about you, but I'd like to make today worth remembering." --Harold Hill from The Music Man
This is terrific. I've been a long-time fan of Mr. Pryce and it's great to hear that he and Ms. York are bringing something so special to this enjoyable show. Bravo to them both! Thank you to everyone who posted the reviews!
