Holy cow, what a disaster. It seemed like a train wreck from the start, but even I began to have hopes for it when the casting announcement came out. Too bad for them all.

Well, it looks like Rebecca has a sequel.

I feel very bad for the cast and crew of this though. What a disappointment it must be for them to not be able to continue with a new Broadway show. Best of luck to them.
Not sure I'd call this "news..."

No surprise, but it really is terrible for the cast & crew.

Not terribly surprising. Too bad for the extremely late-hired cast, especially since those names finally piqued interest. But so late.

no one is really surprised by this but wow what a bummer to everyone involved, wonder if someone tries to snag the Longacre before the Tony deadline?
I really thought this was an April Fools' Day joke. Sigh.
Not surprised by this news...but I do feel bad for the cast. Rory O'Malley and Lindsay Mendez deserve better.
I'm confused as to why people don't find it surprising? Did I miss some key part of the history of its development? I mean, sure, it's a surprise that they decided to go to Broadway in the first place, but considering they were less than 2 months from the first preview, the theatre was booked, and the show was cast, I didn't see any reason to expect this to happen.
You have to wonder what kind of person the investor is - who withdraws from the process at this point (already in rehearsals) knowing that everyone would then be out of work.

It's just called a gut feeling.
Raymond Lee was JUST tweeting about costume fittings, too.

I guessing it's probably too late in the game for something to grab the Longacre before Tony cut-off, right?
It looks like the cast was literally in the middle of a rehearsal when someone stepped in and called the whole thing off. Terrible.

Every other show that is opening this season is in (at least) rehearsals right now. So yeah, I think it's safe to say it's too late.
Is Rory O'Malley on the phone with his agent?

HOW AWFUL. I feel so bad for the cast and crew. I can't even imagine what that feels like
I wonder if Michael Riedel is gonna be covering this story.

I hope Rory O'Malley already fired his agent, honestly.
Well that sucks. That investor is a witch
What an awkward time to cancel the time during a rehearsal! So glad to see the cast's closeness in that picture
