This week will start the true test in grosses. Plus this weekend is expected to be very cold with a chance of snow on Saturday.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

A DOLL’S HOUSE did NOT come to play this year.

Wonder if the numbers will trend back down for A BEAUTIFUL NOISE. Tonight’s show is probably only about 60% full and the audience is…lacking enthusiasm (even in the moment of pure fan service)

Happy to see ADH off to a great start…wonder what it would have grossed without Chastain.

Also delighted re Moulin Rouge. How much does Aaron Tveit’s return have to do with current grosses?

even though I never heard of Jinx M before a month or so again, it is amazing what she has done for Chicago. I wonder whether the momentum would continue much longer if she were to extend.

seeming to look pretty certain that KA and SLIH will make it to the Tony’s.

She one arguably one of the biggest and most current show on television TWICE and became the Queen of All Queens, so yes, her extending would still cause a stir, but she just announced a big tour, so not sure if she'd want to extend any further. You should catch one of her shows if you're a musical theater fan. She's insanely funny and talented.

I don’t think anyone is under the delusion that the show would be selling well without Chastain. She’s the main reason it’s even happening, I’m sure.

These grosses are once again a reminder that the "winter doldrums" are not a thing this season and that Broadway is clearly unpredictable right now. Nice to see so many shows doing great business. Wow, ADH is off to a great start...and both KA and SLIH seem to be finding their legs. Impressive all around.

Good start for A Doll's House & Bad Cinderella. Moulin Rouge is looking great lately too - Aaron Tveit's return is helping that I assume.

This week starts off with a holiday weekend and “February vacation week” for most school districts across the country. So if parents chose NYC as their destination, then the family shows should bump up this week. And if teachers are visiting NYC this week with friends or spouses, all the other shows will do well,too, since they will avoid the family shows ( they don’t want to be around kids this week!).

No surprise Phantom of the Opera took top grosses and quite impressive for Funny Girl to take the top spot for highest average ticket price especially when Lea was out a few performances this past week.

I think there's 2 important things to keep in mind this winter. The weather has been unseasonably warm and we've had limited snow on the east coast this year. In addition, only about half the Broadway houses are occupied at the moment. The last 10 years, there were somewhere between 26-33 shows playing at the same time. Typically, this time of year is playing in the low 80% seats filled, currently we're see that number in the low 90%.

Also, I think it’s important to note that it was a holiday weekend. Many of the shows had a slightly altered schedule with two show days on both Saturday and Sunday. And then there was also Valentine’s Day and the end of Broadway Week.

Great start for Doll’s House. And honestly seems like Jinkx is the best thing to happen to Chicago since the film.
