From the Broadway Backwards concert the other night, thanks to Seth Rudetsky. It's a fun watch.

Man, I just love Seth.
And finally - an explanation for those stairs!
I can't believe he dared question her "'tude" And lived passed it!
I loved how happy he was after it. That was my same feeling.
And Betty is as fierce as she was 20 years ago!

What a marvellous vid! I can't believe she didn't stab HIM and have to have someone stop her heart after being coaxed like that haha.

I love that he inserted a little chunk of Cats in the piano at the end.
Seth rules.
He is soooo hyper its a wonder he doesn't get slapped more often - but I admire his chutzpah!
Buckley's voice is starting to show wear but it was great hearing her sing CARRIE anyway.
Oooh - THAT's what those stairs were!
Great video. I have an undying love for Seth, he's so great.
I would've loved it if he had Charlotte D'amboise there and had her sing either "Don't Waste the Moon" or "Out For Blood" and then try to explain "See what a MARVELOUS score it is?!" to a silent audience.

Ah, LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE IT! Love Carrie! Let me be counted amoung the queens who want a revival!
Buckley wasn't very excited when I asked her about Carrie after one of her concerts.
Oh, but I lurve Don't Waste The Moon.
Out For Blood, well... some things you just can't make up.

Seth is officially my favorite person ever.
Buckley wasn't very excited when I asked her about Carrie after one of her concerts.
- LOL. I would never DARE ask Buckley about Carrie. Out of all people to ask about being part of the one of the biggest flops of all time - Betty isn't exactly the one to ask.
Betty was kind enough to sign my CARRIE souvenir program in January 2005 after The Public Sings...I certainly didn't ask her about it though.
This video was awesome by the way...I love Seth Rudetsky!
Funny, finding you here, I was just going to tell you about this!

Buckley will talk about it, but ONLY when the mood strikes her. She let my high school theatre seniors (me included) sit in on a movement class at UTA, and she went CRAZY when our director metioned Carrie as one of her credits. And the fact she didn't KILL Seth is still shocking.
However, when you catch her on a good day, and you ask not as much about her experience as much as you do facts, she'll generally comply.
did she really not know he was going to ask her to sing a song from Carrie? I would be upset if someone asked me to sing a song in front of an audience that I'd not rehearsed...
I love Carrie though. I've never had a copy on CD, but I used to have it on cassete tape and I loved it.

All I asked her was how often she performed material from the show.
Buckley is wonderful. Rudetsky is annoying.
Ok, can someone (husk_charmer) list all the available songs from Carrie?
I know Linzi sings a couple on one of her albums.
Any more out there?

Unless I have missed something this is what's recorded:
"Carrie" - Linizi Hateley "Sooner or Later"
"Unsuspecting Hearts" - Alice Ripley and Emily Skinner "Unsuspecting Hearts"
"When There's No One" - Betty Buckley, "Betty Buckley's Broadway"
At Buckley's Carnegie Hall Concert in 96, she and Linzi did "Carrie" and "And Eve Was Weak." But that went unrecorded. Then there was the Stagedoor Manor production that also went unrecorded, as well as a Dutch version in 2001. (However I am 99.9% certain the Dutch version was illegal)
Is it wrong I keep hoping Gore/Pitchford will see this and give us a recording....
The Stagedoor Manor production was videotaped. There's a copy of it at the camp, not to mention the numerous Carrie fans who came and recorded it for their purposes.
