Bryan Cranston returning to Broadway

He just announced that he is circling his attention on returning to Broadway…any thoughts on what it is?

If what I heard a few months ago is still true, he's coming in a musical.

Yeah, in 2026. You’re referring to his recent press about retiring and moving to France - in 2026.

In 2026. He said he's doing a hard stop for his 70th birthday and retiring in France, but still plans to continue business as usual until then.

It's a shame he never fulfilled his promise Breaking Bad showed. Yes he's got Tonys but movie wise, even Brando gave more effort in his later years.

Or has he moved on to something else?

…he’s done plenty of fine work and clearly is not in this to please anybody but himself.

"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."

If it Damn Yankees, he'd be The Devil. But I hope it is not that. It feels like such tired property and it would be great to see him in something that feels more fresh and exciting.

well, that doesn't leave a lot of time to develop a Broadway show, but good luck to him!

If you read the other posts it sounds like a revival of Damn Yankees, so not much to be "developed "

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Tired? It has some great numbers, and the last full revival on Broadway was in 1994. Who would be Lola? Robyn Hurder?
