Hey guys, Sorry for the board shilling but it's entirely personal, so hey, I figure, why not? That dang overhyped RobbieJ does it all the time (love ya, babe!).
After much muttering and kicking and screaming, I'm performing for free. It's such a happy day in my life. Fortunately, it's a show I'm REALLY enjoying: a quality show, with quality writing in the book, lyrics and score departments, a wonderfully talented cast...and buttless chaps. Which you won't see me in (breahe a sigh of relief now).
The show is titled: "The Day the World Went Queer." You can check out more info about the show here: www.thedaytheworldwentqueer.com
It's a fantastically funny and sarcastic little "What if" on the premise of legalizing same-sex marriage (of course) and a town rocked when said legalization turns everyone gay overnight.
Tickets for Fringe shows go on sale on July 30th and I hope to see some of you there!

unfortunately, I do not wear buttless chaps. However, a pal of mine who is playing my father (yes, he is a full one year older than me in reality) DOES wear buttless chaps...and I have a HOT guy who plays my boyfriend in the show...you'll see him in various states of undress, which should be ample reason to go.
'That dang overhyped RobbieJ does it all the time'
Get it all out now, honey, cause when I start my full court press for my show (FLEET WEEK), it's gonna be like Pat Kingsley getting her mitts into Tommy Cruise once more!
"I'm so looking forward to a time when all the Reagan Democrats are dead."
I would like to thank bwaysinger and RobbieJ for giving me reason to have a social life in the heat of the summer. I wouldn't miss either of your shows for anything...well, at least not for anything more minor than a dental catastrophe, that is.
Bway..way to go!

Break a leg man! It looks great. And you worked on "But I'm A Cheerleader!" I will definitely have to hit you up with questions about that sometime later when I am not so busy.
Please, feel free to hit on me now before my fame reaches Robbiej proportions. And, Robbiej, you ain't seen nuthin' yet. i'm gonna be all Nicole Kidman'ed out. I have even already made my botox and bad eyelift appointments. I am going to be the best drag queen ever.
Tell me how great it is, someone who lives in New York.
1. Ted Allen: Everyone has an interesting life if you ask the right questions.
2. Great buckets of Spoffnor, they're going to sing!
3. "I love shrubs that are historical." -Johnny and The Sprites
4. "We're not singing it to you, we're singing it for us." -Rosario Dawson, about La Vie Boheme
5. "The best moments in reading are when you come across something - a thought, a feeling, a way of looking at things - which you had thought special and particular to you. And now, here it is, set down by someone else, a person you have never met, someone even who is long dead. And it is as if a hand has come out, and taken yours." -The History Boys
6. "Pass the parcel. That's sometimes all you can do. Take it, feel it and pass it on. Not for me, not for you, but for someone, somewhere, one day. Pass it on, boys. That's the game I want you to learn. Pass it on." -The History Boys
I've always wanted to go to the Fringe Festival. One of these days I'll get there. Congrats on the part and it sounds like a fun show. I would love to see it.
If I lived in NYC, I'd be there with no second thought, cheering and supporting you, bwaysinger. Since, alas, I am not, I can only congratulate you and wish you a huge success !!! I am sure you will make us all proud !
You can hit on me, too, Link...but, like I said, do it now before I become a b*tch like that Robbiej. he never returns my calls...and after saying it was true love...*sniffle*
Seriously, though, the show's a fantastically fun little romp with humor (of the dirty kind) and a surprising amount of heart. I just finished rehearsing a nice little tear-jerker of a sweet duet (boy on boy, of course) and now I'm sitting here at the computer while a rather funny and raunchy song is going on in the rehearsal room. It's good times, I tells ya!
