Got some photos from the dress up on the website, they're small and not available for larger viewing, but hey ho! Here's one of me and the stud. Amazingly, it saved as a larger photo.
It's a totally fun show. That Bwaysinger was fabulous goes without saying of course, but the rest of the cast are also great (and a few of them are also hot, but that's by the by as everyone knows, I only have eyes for Bway). The show itself is very funny but the book needs a little help in places. That's really the only criticism I can think of. It's funny, it's cute and it's gay gay gay. Who could ask for anything more?
Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.
I just got back from seeing Day/queer (and 2 other things) and i must say it was a good time. The second act did turn into a bit of a circus, but i definately loved the show and it gave me hope for the next 13 (hope that was not dashed by the other 2 shows I saw today). And i must say, the girl who played susie (i don't have my program right now, it's in my car) was very engaging and entertaining with the little stage time she had in the first act. Everyone was really great. Side note, I think I was in the same row as JRB_actor.
but anyway, loved the show, loved the songs, wish I had a recording. Hope everything else I see is as good.
when ducks grow thumbs then maybe my opinion will change.
Thanks again for coming, Jerby! I must admit to the oh-so-professional act of peaking out of the curtain JUST as you and Poppy came walking down the aisle, so I knew where you were.
D, Thanks a lot. Now that our first tech is out of the way (hah!), we feel VERY comfortable in the space.
Did I mention it's air-conditioned? That's a rarity for a Fringe show, so if I can't convince you to come see me or hot guys in buttless chaps, if you're down in the Village in this sweltering heat, we do offer two hours of blasting A/C.
Yeah, it was all very good write-ups. Also, a very prominent gay group is having their weekly event at our show and they sold out, so that's kind of cool too.
Bumpity bump to the top. We did indeed have a critic in the audience...from New York Magazine. Not always the most auspicious of reviewers, it was pretty positive.
Also, for those of you keeping track, Silence! the Musical added a 6th performance (I'm sure another is forthcoming) but, most importantly, their links page has a couple of other shows they recommend you checking out in addition to their own, and my little show that could is one of them.
