IIRC Randolph isn't a soprano. I could be totally wrong on thid though. How's your range?
But if you honestly feel you could pass for Randolph then go. I'd have to think they'd prefer to have someone a little older and more mature in the company than a kid who is actually nine or ten.

Yes, I totally agree it's not worth my time. Unless I get called in- I won't go in at this call. I am 14, and my range is pretty wide- high tenor to soprano Even though I am 14, most say I look 11. Randolph is 10. is it worth auditioning when they do call for him/ or if i'm called in?
If you can sing the role and look the part I don't think there's anything to stop you. If they have a Randolph call you should go. Then when you get the part you can give us all backstage tours

does anyone have an idea or a guess for the age they're going to be seeking for the teen chorus? i know the audition post says they're auditioning 15-22 yr olds...but do you think they'll be looking for older, younger, or a variety??
and jdrama, i say go for it! when i was a freshman in high school, i was cast as Annie with a good regional theater company...if they like you they'll work with it!
I wish I could by I have rehersal all day for my acting school's production of Beauty and the Beast. Plus I am not in Actor's Equaity and I dont know how to plus I dont have a headshot or a resume so I guess I cant. Damn!
so i went to a closed agent call today. there was a LOT of randolphs. also, the casting people were there from 8 am-9:30 pm. and i think this is one of many many calls. the open call will be an absolute madhouse.
I'm officially going. I think I may take the 6:13 train in versus the 7:30 after reading imatoofbrush's post.

I would get in as early as humanly possible, because it's going to be extremely crowded. I think if you get there between 5:30 and 6, you should have a space closer to the front of the line. And no, I'm not kidding. Those posts about people getting to open calls at 2 a.m., or even the night before? Completely true.
1. Any theatrical and/or concert credits you have. Check out some performers' websites to get an idea of how a resume is formatted.
2. 8X10 is the standard photo size. If you don't have a professional headshot, a school photo should do. It should be something simple that best shows your personality (i.e. toothy smile, sort of serious). Again, check out some performers' websites for reference.
I was gonna go...but I am so not in the mood to deal with this this weekend.
I'm so freaking tired, stressed out, and don't feel like getting up at the crack of dawn to haul my ass down there. Plus, I don't even have a song picked out.
I'm going now. I got someone to cover my shift at work.
I am looking forword to the craziness Lol... it's been a while since I've gone to an open call!
