Just a publicity stunt for the run-up to the Tonys. Dont think too hard about it.

A purse is fine. I usually have my drawstring bag and that’s decent. It would only be a problem if it was a suitcase or a purse so big that it would be a tripping hazard for passersby

and if anyone happens to snatch that bag, do please let us know if it was Mungojerrie or Rumpleteazer

I knew that’s what you probably meant. My answer stands.
…and yes, protect from Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer. They are rumored to be a notorious couple o’ cats.

Saw the matinee today. Never been a Cats person at all, but this was fantastic. We had the seats along the runway and it was just a pure joyful experience throughout. And it’s why I love theater.

Was also at the matinee - brought my mom, who has been an avowed CATS hater since before I was born and she was utterly converted by the artistry on stage. This afternoon was less for me and more for her being able to see one of the best coup de theatre in the last 25 years.
Al Roker and Meredith Marks (RH:SLC) were the guest judges today and I witnessed a first…Al left at intermission. Never saw a guest judge do that before. I’m going to chalk it up to he was likely exhausted since he was up doing three hours of the TODAY show at the crack of dawn.

Yeah we noticed Al left too. We had a blast, Rum Tum Tum Tygger was messing with me the whole show,

For the Wednesday show, Bryce made his debut as Victoria. He had a white outfit for Victoria's ballet and some other scenes. But then when he was paired with Primo, he wore the Tumblebrutus costume so they were twinning and it was lots of fun, especially when they first appeared together in "Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer."

Again!? Curous as to why you keep on seeing this show over and over?

Aside from being mind-blowingly innovative, it brings me unabashed queer joy at a time in my life when I could really use some. Let me have it.
I’ve seen everything else that opened this season.

One of the best parts of living in or nearby NY is access to theater - it’s my church, so I can relate. There’s nothing better than connecting with a show. Life is short, the world is on fire and I think we should all lean into the things that bring us catharsis, joy, comfort, etc.

Agree. When the last revival of Follies was playing in DC at the same time as the Follies at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, I intentionally scheduled business trips so I could see both multiple times.
You never know when a production of a favorite show will come around again.

If someone enjoys/appreciates something, why would they not want to experience it multiple times? I've seen many shows multiple times.

It’s also a show where I’ve managed to make friends along the way, and managed to learn quite a bit about ballroom, even attending my first ball and also briefly participated in a house.
When I dive headfirst into supporting a show with such fervor (A Strange Loop, Oh Mary, Purlie Victorious as some examples), I get to dive into the creative process more and see how it comes together, and sometimes I end up in places with people I never thought I would meet. It’s an exciting outlet that counters my taxing everyday life.

There are many theater fans out there whose visits to their favorite shows are in triple digits. It's a strange question especially on this board.

I think most people have shows or an unusual, rarely staged revival they connect with or just really love. When Follies played at the San Francisco Playhouse, I really enjoyed it and saw it 3 times in a few weeks. That’s unusual for me, but I liked the production, which had never played in San Francisco ever.
Cats: The Jellice Ball is a unique revival. I made a point of seeing it on my NYC trip because I doubted I would see that collection of talent, doing that version of a show I hadn’t seen before, ever again. While it may tour, the cast will be different and so will the dynamic.
quizking101 doesn’t need my defense. Their posts are very enthusiastic but informative about the revival.
Members of my own immediate family have different shows, or productions, that they love - all different. It’s fascinating to me what connects with them, and it’s fun to see it through their eyes.
At its best, theater brings us joy. What’s the harm of that?

Baby Byrne posted she's out of tonight's show, and Kya Azeen will be making her Victoria debut.

Those kitties have been worked to the BONE this week, so I’m not surprised that many of them are crawling to the finish. The last time the full cast was in was the Wednesday matinee. Even a glance at the Understudies.org website for tonight is like a CVS receipt for all shows.
I almost feel sorry that they have a matinee tomorrow between final dress and the ceremony.
