Harcourt seems decent (despite being black balled for some time from his off-broadway Girl From The North Country " issues "
-- Jonathan, however, is the opposite. not a kind person with one of the worst egos despite a facade. Steer clear.
LOVE this version of CATS though - it deserves the TONY - hands down.

I’m gonna sound like a busted record here, but if you want to catch CATS, the time to go is NOW.
It’s still relatively easy to get decent priced tickets, including partial view seats, but the performances are pitched to their highest caliber and working like a well oiled machine, especially André really giving the most he can. I’ve been seeing Zhailon, Bill, and the choreographers popping in and out to check out on the show, so they seem on optimizing the show during voting.

Are you saying it won't stay tight after awards season? Is it not doing good enough at the box office to extend past September? Looking at weekly grosses it is surprising that Rocky Horror cracked $1million selling less seats, while this is doing ok at 91% of capacity. OR are you saying get tickets now while they're less expensive before they raise prices after a potential Tony win?

The latter - a “get ‘em while they’re hot” scenario

I saw this again last week, and I can not overstate how brilliant Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer are in this production. In my opinion, it is the crown jewel of this show. Perfectly performed, makes so much sense dramaturgically, and god, it's just so damn fun. Dava Huesca, Baby Byrne, Jonathan Burke, & Primo are doing such excellent work.

And it was NPH and David Burtka last night. They must be bringing out the big guns for the last of the Tony voter shows

I don't know who had the idea of make a ballroom Cats, but it just works in a perfect analogy. Maybe those outcasts are black and latin people from the 80's that had to deal with racism and things like HIV and never had a chance to actually live the life they deserved.
But to turn this metaphor in a big, bright and genuinely fantastic night of queer celebration is right down perfection.
Every decision thatZhailon Levingston and Bill Rauch did for this show was able to turn even the most boring number in a captivating way of seeing how queer bodies are so vibrant and alive.
Costumes, choreography, some entrances (André!) are simply stunning and I was NOT prepared to have a trans black woman singing ''a new day begin'', then receiving a chance to have a new life and have a stairs come down all the way though that ceiling. Probably my most jaw dropping moment this entire journey.
I almost bought a ticket to see it again, that's how much I loved this one."
