Nobody has forgotten or overlooked the Cats movie. It was an absolute dumpster fire that was joked about and parodied for a year. You're right its not being talked about as much right noe because its been 7 years. Lets not act like it didn't have cultural impact for the wrong reasons. Its like saying Dear Evan Hansen was forgotten about.

Oh you mean the uncanny valley CGI nightmare fuel and also harbinger of events to come? we do not speak of the 2019 film adaptation, not even Andrew Lloyd Webber who got a Javanese as an emotional support animal...

The more material they add of his, the more of a case for a promotion to a cowriting credit becomes arguable. ALW and co. are going to toe that line as close as they can, especially since Dudney had to fight to get the very small credit he did for “Additional MC Material” in the first place
"

Actually I've been having a DM conversation with one of the cast members they told me some exciting info. The album producer (I guess they're referring to Alana de Fonseca) has seen the show multiple times. The band sounds amazing. the vocal sounds amazing. granted they are doing a little pitch correction here and there (which is perfectly normal) but they're very much trying to keep it very much like the ball itselfand that definitely includes all of the ad-libs, chants, and dialogue. They wrapped recording yesterday so now its up to the mixing and mastering which as we all know takes a very long time...
"

Oh awesome! It’s entirely possible who I was chatting with and when didn’t have this same information.

Re: CATS: THE JELLICLE BALL Reviews

Robert Silk Mason just posted a video recounting their negative experience with Harcourt. It's lengthy and, frankly, kind of rambling and at times hard to follow, but the crux of it is that Harcourt continued to do their kiss on occasions in which Silk, with discussion and approval from production, requested it not occur due to health concerns.

This is gross. Harcourt's social media presence since CATS closed has been...grating, to say the least. This all tracks, sadly.

They both seem messy and petty, to be totally honest. Also, a good reminder to not lend/borrow thousands of dollars to/from friends.

Gross. I was finding it strange that Sydney totally skipped the closing party with the rest of the cast, this is making more sense.

Noted decrier of abuse sees a performer alleging poor treatment at the hands of another and her first thought is to bully somebody who isn’t even part of the discussion. And then probably going to see MJ again.

Re: CATS: THE JELLICLE BALL Reviews

I'm glad RSM shared this.

On one hand, SJH's behavior is very much not ok, and he sounds like a bad hang. And going by SJH's own social posts, it sounds like he had a lot of issues with the way CATS was managed and run.

On the other hand, this was probably not the best method for RSM to air their grievances. Hard facts are getting blurred with personal trauma, professional trauma, and plain old ego. But I hope they're okay and maybe this will help with their healing process.

Separate from all of the above: it is so not okay to borrow $2,000 from someone two years ago and not pay it back.

H.R. is one of those things that Broadway hasn't 100% cracked yet. There are consulting firms, and strides have been made, but a lot still falls on the stage manager, company manager, and intimacy/fight coordinator to handle, when sometimes a proper third party would be beneficial.

Quite something to see a thread about an abuser and then.... be abusive.

Trash, this thread is about a show. And my sentence is the opposite of abusive but Totally Effed (lolz) tried to out a person weeks ago and had his post deleted, of course. I wonder who did that? Lol. That is abuse, not me asking the person who verbally abused everyone who dared to hate Cats a question. Learn how to read better sweetie. Kisses.

Not only is this barely legible, it’s also completely inaccurate. Where and when did quizking ever “abuse” anyone who didn’t like CATS? Lord, get a grip and get a life.

You and BroadwayFlash have single handedly destroyed this board. Kisses.

The upvotes speak for themselves, dear. Everyone here hates you. And why wouldn't they? You're nothing but a hateful, nasty witch. Get therapy, get on medication, and consider contributing something positive to the world for once.

Re: CATS: THE JELLICLE BALL Reviews

Pay attention and stop yelling at the bot Fred Mason, then you might have noticed. For months, he called people names that hated Cats.

Enjoy your now closed musical with horrible, problematic people in it. Unlike Ragtime. Hmmm....

Kisses, sad pathetic beta males.

You tried to out a person. You don't matter and neither do any of your comments. And you thinking "likes" on a dying Broadway site that will be dead in 5 years matter is so precious. Bless your microdicked little self. Blocking you is such a privilege. Kisses.
