It looks like Tina is on for tonight at 8pm but why is the show never on TKTS or TDF anymore? The house looks near empty on Ticketnaster for full price tickets. Seems strange they would not offer TKTS tickets and if cleared to perform have to play to a near empty house. I'm sure customers at TKTS would fill the house for Tina.

It really is dumbfounding that the producers refuse to put the show on TKTS or offer discounts.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Exactly!! I couldn't believe the 7th row center orchestra ticket I got at TKTS for Company last week. Lots of people who had Hamiton tickets that day were grateful they were able to get a break on last minute Company tickets.

That picture made the rounds on social media yesterday. That's their cast for both shows today, too. Josh Breckenridge was their only standby to not go on."
Tony LePage posted on Instagram that he's playing Nick & Others today. Not sure if that means Joel is back or if he just switched with Jellison), or if Josh Breckinridge is on as Claude (I'm not sure which standbys cover which tracks)

Im confused with this as well. Unless Ticketmaster is totally lying, the show is barely selling. $50 dollars is better than $0. I hope the producers put that together before it straight up closes.

Sales for this week and for January are abysmal. Basically, it looks as if for this week no more than 200-300 seats are sold for each performance. That's not looking good as I believe they will close up very soon!

That's really unfortunate, it's like they won't give people a chance who want to go see it but need it to be discounted. So bizarre especially with dead January fast approaching.
What are the chances that Moulin Rouge will go on as planned tomorrow? We have tickets for the 2 pm matinee show and now I’m worried after seeing that it’s cancelled for tonight (even though it’s due to a non Covid related issue).
In other good news, this afternoon the CDC announced that for the general population, the recommended time of isolation has been shortened "from 10 days for people with COVID-19 to 5 days, if asymptomatic, followed by 5 days of wearing a mask when around others."
I'd like to wish all the best to all of you who are working in the theatre during these difficult times. Thank you for giving us the joy of theatre. To all the people who work on and off stage, BRAVO!

I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

I'd be like get all those seats up on the TKTS booth NOW at 50% off and fill the theater up as much as possible so the performers aren't doing a show to an empty house!!!

So obviously the performers can't mask 100% of the time, but I wonder if this means crew and front of house will be expected back after 5 days now as long as they're asymptomatic.
But on the flip side the CDC is recommending 5 day quarantine after close contact, even if vaccinated. The exception is those who've had their booster don't need to quarantine but should mask for 10 days.
So potentially people could come back sooner but a lot more could be out in the first place.

Absolutely especially with the slim pickings on some nights. I'm not in the performering arts but it can't feel good to play to a half empty house!

Joel Hatch was still out for the matinee, so possibly a switch? John Jellison is the main cover for Nick and Claude, so it's odd to have them switch.
EDIT: per Instagram, John Jellison and Tony LePage did switch roles for tonight's performance.

The Toronto production of Come From Away has closed despite just reopening in December 15th. I feel horrible for the cast and crew at Royal Alexandria Theatre. It closes after having played 855 performances.

Is something else booked for that theater? It was selling very well, so I'm surprised about their abrupt closure. Or does it have to do more with Canada's new protocols?

This is so sad and devastating. This show was a runaway success selling out months in advance. What a terrible shame.
